I'm just short of being a cave dweller as far as this stuff is concerned, so could you answer a couple of simple questions? 1) once you plug this thing into your TV do you get Sky Sports & movies, without paying a subscription? (I already pay Virgin monthly for Sky Sports) 2) What is Kodi? 3) Would I be able to watch Stoke away games? (again, with or without a subscription) Thanks

Do I have to pay a subscription? Can I watch Stoke's away games? Thanks

You plug it in then will probably have to start Kodi - then decide which Kidi addin to use. It's no where as easy or reliable as Sky but it's far more powerful. For example I can use an addon called Genesis - type the name of pretty much any film which is out on DVD and then watch a free stream. My kids use it all the time. BTW Kodi and all the addons are free. 2. 3. Yes. I don't think I've failed to get a stream for a league game for years. Sometimes they're dead easy to watch - in HD with English commentary, sometimes very blocky and with foreign commentary. There's lots of guides in youtube and seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-watch-premier-league-football-using-xbmc/ to help.

Ok to clear a few things up for everyone...
The Amazon fire TV stick is something that can be bought off the shelf £35rrp
What I am selling is an Amazon fire TV stick, with all the features of the stick still able to use, with Kodi added onto it.
Kodi is free software that with different addons etc... These addons eg genesis (movies) Phoenix (sports) mean that you can literally watch any film, TV show, box set, any premier league game ( so yes Stoke away games are covered) all free and all on your TV.
You may ask why am I paying £55 when I can get a bog standard stick for £35 and download Kodi for free...
The reason for the price of £55 is because I take the time to add Kodi for you and also install all the addons to save you time. So all you will literally have to do is plug the stick in... Connect to wifi..... Navigate the menu to sports..... Live games.... Stoke V (insert team) and hey presto .... Free Stoke game.
No pop ups No messing about searching for streams The same goes for films.... In all honesty it's a doddle to use.
And considering I onlly charge £55 It will pay for itself straight away.
Pm me if you're interested in buying one

For anyone who has an Android Tablet or Phone you can put all this software on your phone really easily. It is worth investing in a little Android box and Wireless Mouse. Download KODI kodi.tv/download/Auto Set Up (Installs Everything for you) www.tvaddons.ag/config-wizard-kodi/As good as Kodi is for films, THE best app for films is (this can be downloaded on its own and has Almost Everything): apkapps.com/apps/details/showbox/326 Another App for live TV and maybe 60%/70% of the Stoke games is Mobdro www.mobdro.com/This is all’s you will ever need!

£20 quid to install free software or Nick and sell everyone's custom builds? Mask and a striped jumper comes to mind.
I brought one last week £35 in Argos had it set up with kodi within 10 mins
Best of luck to you

To be fair to the OP, anybody who's not tech savvy will probably struggle. We did.

If you're going to exclude us in ST4, then you don't deserve our custom.
PS, £25 on Amazon at the moment, then just go and get your tech savvy grandkids to set it up for you, they'll find it a doddle.

I've been running Kodi for a few years on an SD card inserted into a Raspberry Pi, bloody brilliant, formerly XBMC.

A neighbour has advised me it's about £200 to get a set-top box so you don't need a pricey Sky, Virgin etc monthly package BUT I need to know (with regards to this 'Stick' business) .......yes, I'm seeing that you get all the major channels, BUT can you record and do catch up ?

Well, I cant find a single chuffing stream that works, installed Kodi and Genesis and all we get is a message saying no stream available. Losing the will to live here, any help would be appreciated.

Try clearing the cache on kodi. And then download something called Kodi Beast. Running it on my desktop and laptop and streams are great on it

I'm having trouble streaming films (Kodi is installed on my laptop) on Genesis.
Most (if not all) come up with the message, 'no stream available'
Why?
