The police have stated that they will no longer be actively 'policing' outside the Ecuardorian Embassey.
If I was Julian I would now be doning a lycra running suit and getting myself running up and a down a few flights of stairs before doing my best Usain Bolt impression into the London night.

Good luck to the lad. If we make it out of these dark times, history will be kind to him, Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden.

This mans future lies in autobiographical books and an apartment overlooking Guantanamo bay .....
Beyond that , there is little to look forward to .
The End .

I think his story and fame is beginning to ebb away into obscurity where it should remain.

I'm glad for people like him & the fella having to hide out in Russia... Just shows what our rulers are all about when someone doing nothing more than telling the general public the truth, has to go & hide in 'evil' Russia.

Apparently it has cost £10,000 a day to have someone standing outside the door on duty. Which in my view would equate to a police officer standing outside a door for 3 x 8 hour shifts @ say £300 a shift. So where has the other £9100 gone !!

There's just no way that the numbers could be correct.

He should try working on a submarine. Amateur Or being stuck in a cave for 10 days without any food, daylight, and contact from the outside world, facing a very slow and painful death...

Sorry your going to jail for wrong think and speech. No. He’s going to jail for leaking information which put hundreds, if not thousands of lives at risk and potentially disrupting the east/west balance in a very dangerous way. Perhaps a few years doing time might focus his mind on being slightly more selective about which secrets he betrays. He might also consider that if he had done this against the Russians he would probably be dead by now and not simply faceing a few years paying his debt to society.

He exposed war crimes in particular by the US. Our descent into fascism continues.

But surely we should be able to hear and see all information wherever it comes from and make up our own minds rather than be told a certain point of view. To me this is nothing more than persecuting someone for merely exposing uncomfortable truths that our governments don't want us to have access to.
