For anybody with Netflix, (or even those without - take free subscription for one month) I really want to encourage all to spend 2 hours to watch documentary called "Winter on Fire". It is an account of the Kyiv protests and revolution between November 2013 and February 2014. Not just any account, but a truly terrifying account of how the troubles escalated, the provocation of the people and the bravery of peaceful protesters to face armed police to stand up for what they believe in. It's also completely heartbreaking at times, with high possibility of tears, of absolute shock.
I also think it would provoke deep thought about how far you would go yourself for your belief and your rights; and serve as a reminder to any government that they are trusted and appointed for the people; and a reminder for the people themselves that they should be the real holders of power.
So, please do take a small amount of time to watch this powerful documentary.
