It's good isn't it? Watch the game and then have a few beers in the pub while the other results come in.

Will tickets be difficult to get for the United game on boxing day, purely from general sale this is. Best mate is a shit fan figured it could be a decent laugh, reckon they'll sell out more or less straight away?

There will be a fair few empty seats as season ticket holders are away, pissed or just decide that Sky in front of the fire (or in the local) has greater charms. They don't tend to make it on sale though.

Less than 200 tickets left for the Watford game a couple of weeks before the game and officially a sell out for every home game so far so yes. Although as above some people will undoubtedly leave an empty seat by staying at home with family and watching it on the box

Surely much better than an 8pm ko? The Liverpool match a couple of seasons ago produced a tremendous atmosphere.

Spoons 9 o'clock, until a decent pub opens at 11. taxi to the game at 12.35. Back the pub after the game to watch the rest of the football and the racing. Then on in to the night that could lead absolutely anywhere, then walk through my front door probably any time after about 9 o'clock in the morning the next day.
I bloody love boxing day, easily my favourite day of the year!

Oh pooh, another Boxing Day lunch round the Mother-In-Law's wishing I was anywhere but there.
Might have to pull the old man flu act and just turn up for tea...

Your fatal mistake there mate, was not letting your lady know from day one that boxing day is a football day and that any family plans have to be made around whatever time & whichever location Stoke are playing that day

FUCK!!!!!!!!!! Me and 2 friends of mine booked already tickets from Austria. This will be my first time at Britannia Never expected, that Stoke will play at this time. Now we must change the flights, cause we fly at 26th from Austria to Manchester Does anybody now, how to get from Manchester to Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent most rapidly? Should we take a taxi on 26 th December or by train?

Last time I fucked off to the football on Boxing Day the missus didn't speak to me for a week. Probably didn't help that I 'forgot' to tell her until Xmas Eve that I had a ticket for the (3-3) game at Barnsley...

Get a taxi from the airport, will be about £45.00 if you pre book, try www.minicabit.com - if you split the taxi fare between the 3 of you, it will be cheaper than the train.
