He didn't threaten our defence at all apart from the two defence splitting passes and the chance he should score (with a better touch) but other than that he never threatened them! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) Shelvey was toss btw and the reason why I think Switzerland were the better side when he was on, he offered no protection to the back 4 and it showed.

The worry for me was the fact he never attempted to take his man on at all which as a winger is something we will need him to do. If you line up with Arnautovic, Bojan and Shaqiri they are all very similar who like the ball to feet and not necessarily take the ball and go at the full back. In my opinion you always want 1 speedster on the wing like we had with Moses last year who can be used as an outlet on the counter. Otherwise we may struggle to break teams down who sit 11 behind the ball and away from home when we see less of the ball we will struggle to counter attack. Look at Man City who played Nasri and Silva as wingers last year and struggled compared to this year where they have speed and dribbling ability out wide. I look at our options and they all look very similar and want to play as a number 10.

I am more worried about the left wing granted but a pacy winger on either side should have been bought!

Shaq one side and Moses the other would have been the perfect balance. I really think we should have broke the bank for Victor, he's the missing cog.

Moses on the left and Shaq on the right with Arnie as backup would have been great.

Do you think Shaq wanted to come here? London - Stoke is commutable as Crouch and Sidwell have shown.

"Calm down dears". Why are Stoke fans so impatient?
Shaqiri has played very little football for a long time and what he has, has been very disjointed with bit parts for different teams/clubs/country. We need to be patient. It is clearly going top take him time to settle in to a new team, which itself has had considerable change without last season's "spine". It is unreasonable to expect him to set off like Usain Bolt!
Bojan and Ryan are also going to need patience when they return. MH is still in the process of rebuilding the team, which has had set backs this year with injuries and transfers out.
We need patience and understanding while the club goes through the current phase. If we can stay in the League Cup, by the new year we should have a dynamite team that will be capable of beating the best to win something.

He'll be a superb signing for West Ham

I think it's unfair to judge Moses' injury record here when most of the team had an injury hit season. If he has an injury hit season this time round then it could be a bullet dodged, but I do think people go a little overboard with him considering he didn't have a proper pre-season and was never really injury hit before he got here.
