Clive Townsend? Not for him, Clive. Clearly, in my mind their strange, symbiotic relationship has merged them into one smug, inane entity. I think we should use the word "smug"a lot more. Woy's a bit smug sometimes isn't he? In an annoying smuggy sort of way.

No, what we really want is a player tear arsing around after fcuk all of a pre-season...really pushing those limbs to the point of injury. None of this building things up nice and steadily. No siree. Grind...Grind...Grind. No pain, no gain. Get up that Austrian hill.

First 20-25 shaqiri looked rusty. Started getting in game though after that, much better. Hes gonna be great for us.
I like shelvy but think he will get found out against good sides.
Clyne still doesnt convince me.
Hate to say it but smalling having best game ive seen him have (thats best game, not best england game!)

That's a lovely ball from Shaq Absolutely, but some daft sods can't see that he's working really hard! It was a good ball, about the only good thing he has done. If working hard was worth £12 million Walters would be worth £20 million. He hasn't lived up to the Oatcake hype that's for sure So far !

England poor in midfield - who'da thunk it? Inler, Xhaka and Shaqiri look much brighter than our bunch. Shaw is jogging around like it's a training match, whilst Sterling looks totally disinterested. They are just pressing on the mediocre Shelvey, who then is forced back into keep ball with the centre backs - riveting.

Nah you rarely get a rational balanced view on here, that's textbook oatcake. If Shaq was playing for any team but Stoke none of you would be saying he's had a good game, because he hasn't.That's not saying he's a crap player, that's saying he hasn't played very well in the 1st half tonight

As a side note, really impressed with the two lads at the back for Switzerland - Schar and Klose. Both very tidy players.
