I played the beta, and there are a few new Starheads (scanned faces) the likes of Butland, Sidwell, Wollscheid, Diouf have been added. Bojan and Whelan haven't been scanned. (I presume its because Bojan was in Spain recovering from injury when they took the photo's)

Can you imagine the reaction on here if we played that formation? I made the mistake once of proposing it on here (worked for me a peach in FM) and Bayern tried to have me banned. |

Love it that bojan and Shawcross are in the 80's! Still think diouf and Arnie deserve to be in the 80's too.

I was only asking, just wondered if there was a reason for the formation & missing players (I haven't played a FIFA game since the first one on, was it Mega Drive? You could do some ace fouls then run off from the refree so as he couldn't book you) Get your old avatar back an all, it was much better I know pal!  Just tried to fit the most interesting or exciting players we have this year into one squad really, god knows I'll cry if we use a 3/5 at the back formation in real life. Christ don't ask me, I'm only 20 and didn't even follow football till about 5 or 6 years ago! Which one, Arnie or Stokealona? Or the retarded manatee? Been chopping and changing recently! I'm grateful if no-one else is. It is interesting how the perception of our team is changing. |

As far as the Butland score: he's young. Young players are generally lower in the game. Two good seasons he'd be at an 80 and being shopped by the big squads worldwide. Two more he'd be the best in the game.
The low numbers can often be drug down by meaningless stats, and will even out quickly.
At the end of playing last year Whelan was around a 82, and you couldn't run past him.

Really want to have a crack at drafts, also apparently the AI are way improved and the difficulty is harder this year which is good.
I always felt if you used a top team even on legendary last year it was seemed like it was way too easy, made the game a little pointless by a couple seasons in
