I had a look through our record with reduced numbers in the Premier League. We've had 26 red cards since promotion in 2008, and Saturday was the second time we've been reduced to 9 men. I hope you enjoy my findings.

How many times has it been said that it's just as hard to play against 10 than eleven. Apparently that doesn't apply when you play Stoke !

Did we end up 9 vs 10 against Coventry a few years back? Never seen a ref lose his head as much as in that game.

Could anyone honestly say what our formation was supposed to be that day, before the red cards? Two left backs, two centre backs, four poor man's Makelele type midfielders and two giant immobile strikers. Maybe Thommo played right back, which means Hall must have been centre back, with Clarke at left back, and Russell and Henry on the wings. With Iwelumo in the "Big Bojan" role behind Gifton.

I didn't realise Ryan had been sent off 4 times either.
Also no surprise to see it was Twatkinson who sent off Rory against Man City!

I didn't realise Ryan had been sent off 4 times either. Four times in eight seasons isn't a bad record though. He's only been sent off once in the last four seasons and two of his reds were in the same season. I think his disciplinary record stands up to scrutiny against most centre halves in this league, but of course he'll always have the Ramsey incident casting a shadow.

To his credit Mcallister did a press conference with Tone to say he also felt we'd been hard done by.

I was at that game. didn't both managers do a press conference after with a unified front that basically Hall was incompetent . I'm sure we awarded man of the match to a stoke player as he was being sent off.

When the Stokie went on he didn't try twat him or anything he just told him his performance was disappointing.

Remember the ref booked Wayne Thomas in the first minute for a nothing challenge. So after that to stay consistent he showed a yellow card for almost every tackle.

13 yellows that day, I think.
