Absolutely gutted that Europe's, well Britain's, well Scotland's, well Glasgow's biggest team are out of the Champions League so early, and lets hope their quality prevails in the Europa League Group Stages and maybe pick up a couple of draws and maybe only go out on goal difference. Lets hope their legal team can find a way of overturning this defeat and get them reinstated. I am pretty sure that one of the opposition players kept his electric key card from the Holiday Inn in Glasgow when they played there, and this is a clear violation of Rule 24 (c).

Van Dijk should be available now then! God help any club who fall for the hype in the Scottish media. He is very average.

A two legged game with Vale would be a closely matched affair.
Scottish football is not much better than the English non-leagues with Celtic the only club who would hack it in the English league system.
You shouldn't underestimate just how bad things are up there. The bottom has fallen out of Scottish football, I'm afraid.

Celtic wage bill £38m Stoke wage bill £61m
And their main rival in the SPL, Aberdeen, has a wage bill of £5m.
Pretty much says it all!

Pretty much says it all! 4 years ago, I spent a few days looking at Scottish football visiting clubs. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Interest in the English Prem is strangling Scottish football to death. Their grounds are decrepit and money seems to be in short supply everywhere. Their football clubs are now close to being on a par with Wales, except Celtic can't match Swansea for quality of team.

This year's sale will be Virgil Van Dijk - only two questions are who gets him and how much they pay. This has been quite a successful strategy for them in recent times - but may not be for much longer. Because after the Dutchman they haven't got anyone else who looks like attracting a decent amount of cash. That wage bill will have to come down sharpish if they can't generate big revenue from those transfers.

Do you mean the Shentons, Shottons and Wilkinsons. They are still there mate, but the top two divisions are now dominated by cheap imports so that home grown players are not allowed to develop properly. Those 3 might have become stars for us in the 70s or they could become the equivalent of Bithell, Worsdale and Jump.

Is their slow development due to lack of opportunity or limited talent. A question it is of course impossible to answer.

That's the beauty of it. Their continued under performance directly affects those other Sectarian nob rots from across the City. At this rate Celtic and Rangers (when they're back) will have to start qualifying for the Intertoto Cup at half time in their final League game of the season.

Malmö FF wage bill = ?
Malmö FF deserved the win.
Makes me wonder, how bad must the other teams be when Celtic are outstanding in the Scottish Premier?
