A lot of people are painting themselves into a corner about Glenn Johnson. Be inbreeding to watch them squirm out if he comes good.

I work with a guy who goes to every Liverpool home game an as many as he can get tickets for away. He's not stopped laughing at me since we signed Johnson. He's been terrible for the last two years apparently.

He's been terrible for the last two years apparently. There were Liverpool supporters knocking Suarez and telling us they wouldn't miss him. Listening to Liverpool supporters about anything is pointless.

I'd normally agree with you Pugs but for a Liverpool fan he's not as deluded as most that you come across and he's quite level headed surprisingly. His view is that he believes that Johnson just doesn't seem bothered anymore and only puts the effort in when he can be arsed which hasn't been very often in the last couple of seasons.

He should question the manager as well then.

I don't think there would have been many fullbacks in the world that could have handled Arnie in that game.

From the evidence I have seen I would say he's pretty much spot on to be fair even if he is a Liverpool supporter, he's been terrible when I have seen him play for Liverpool and England.

Laugh all you like dear chap
one had a 'mare' true but we know where his heart is and he's here for the long haul and, just signed a new contract
The other, past thirty -with a reputation of not being a particularly 'committed defender ' shall we say and, turned up in a
pre season friendly offering us good exposure, hardly prepared to run back when losing possession let alone 'that PATHETIC non tackle' that actually cost us the game.
Glen Johnson -All I expect is that you give you very best for us - and that is made plain
do that and you'll be fine.
We are not a holiday camp nor a fucking retirement home either, if you are reading this
Muniesa and Johnson right now, chalk and cheese
Glenn Johnson cant just swan about all 'ex Ex Liverpool and England international' -he's got to prove himself - work hard - fight for the cause
does that help explain the difference ?
I hope both do really well for us - the senior pro on that pathetic showing , definitely needed a good kick up the arse and some home truths immediately pointing out though - that much was plain

I was in Cologne and he looked way short of match fitness but he is a talented player and rehab seesm to be what Hughes tries to do , maybe he likes it that way or maybe its due to financial restrictions but I do hope that Hughes and his coaches will work with him to get him to regain his best form , one of a few interesting plots that wil be unfolding this season

I think he's a good player. Going on that one performance I've only ever seen one person have such a bad game as muniesa, and that's Arnie at hull which was bordering on laughable which the sky commentators actually did at one point. I hate in when a player doesn't get a chance with some. I slated a certain le sulk after years of frustration but I gave him more than one friendly.
