By the way sheikh. I was on the same train back from London as Tony Scholes last night. I had a chat, shook hands and thanked him for the work everybody puts in at the club and told him to take no notice of your gibbering. I'd expect nothing of a Tory. You can call me anything you like but don't ever call me a Tory.

Ah little Ant. I was wondering just the other day if he was still "playing". Turns out he made an enormous 90 appearances over his 12 year career. I still don't understand why nepotism is tolerated in football. It wouldn't be in any other multi-million £ business. This isn't just a dig at the capped one, Bruce, Ferguson, Macari, Pearson and many others I'm sure have gotten away with it. Sadly nepotism is rife in most multi-million £ businesses, Daddy's connections are still just as important as ever. Little Ant's just a particularly egregious example, as while you can easily bullshit in banking or journalism, conning people that you're a professional standard footballer is a little harder (though I'm sure we can all think of examples of players who seem to have got away with it... ) It most certainly is not true in banking any more. HR are all over that kind of thing. If you recommend some kid / friend of a friend etc. for an internship or an entry level position, they go through standard recruitment process and you have no say on the matter. Should they still get hired, there is no way that they would be placed anywhere near to you in the organization to rule out any conflict of interest. 20 years ago, it was a different picture.

Talking of rampant nepotism, it doesn't get any more comedic than this. The girl got the brains so.......... Jobs for the boy(s)

Ahh yes. A bloke who raised a multi million company from the ground with his sister versus a cone collector who failed at every club he was associated with.
I can certainly see the connections here.

Ahh yes. A bloke who raised a multi million company from the ground with his sister. OK, yeah Yes he did. Daddy gave them the money and they did it. The other daddy gave his son a pair of boots and a contract. One set of kids ended up as millionaires, the other kid ended up picking up cones in America.
