We're all Stokies for one reason or another, but if we lived in a society that forced you to root for the team that played nearest to your home, who would you be stuck with?
For me it'd be the NY Red Bulls, both the senior and youth teams play games within 15 minutes of me.

Are we only counting top division clubs? If so, it'd be the San Jose Earthquakes for me. If you include lower divisions it'd be the semi pro SFFC which regularly loses to club and college level competition, and is a complete joke.
Either way both of those teams have no appeal to me.

If I'd supported the nearest team to where I was brought up, then It would now be a case of - up the Vale!
You can see the glow of the floodlights from my mums bedroom. In the past, you could even hear the roar when a goal was scored - well you could if they conceded a goal to one of the Sheffield sides. Luckily, my dad was born in the heartland of Stoke, so he made sure I was put on the right path.

Dynamo Dresden - sadly now languishing in the third tier of German footie. Still a grand day out, big ground, lively crowd, and 10 mins from our flat.

NY Red Bulls for me too. Grew up in Chesterton so the fail was the closest, guess I was a glory hunter and went for the mighty Potters. That and the fact that I'd have been disowned by my family if I didn't support Stoke.
