Seeing as a week ago Begovic was touted at £8m than I would be happy with that. I'd then sell Mignolet!

Why don't they do a better deal. Give us 8M and keep Mignolet?

10 m plus Mignolet, or 1 m overall.

After Sunday, would Bego regard the move as a step up?

How much money is Mignolet on? I imagine he isn't going to volunteer for a move 'down' to a team like Stoke and a big pay cut to fall in with our pay structure.

Id rather just take the money then have Mignolet thrown in.
Butland is more than ample as a replacement for Bego if he is indeed leaving.

Fucking Mignolet? Seriously? This guy is utter horse shit and I wouldn't want him anywere near the club. Butland will be deservedly be our man between the sticks next season and he is more than good enough, we need get as much as possible for Bego and get some back up in for a 1 m or so, maybe an emerging keeper from the lower leagues?

Mignolet is a liability, no way should we be having him.

Liverpool won't be doing any deals just yet Brenda has his annual appraisal in Chicago later this week .
Did anyone. See the 3 people carriers by the team bus after the game apparently taking rhe Liverpool players to catch a plane for a Dubai farewell to Gerard bet that's going well , and shows some pretty indecent haste to leave the Scene of the crime and lack of respect for the manger .

To be fair he did a good job for us on Sunday, particularly getting out of the way of Dooffy's second

I don't think that he had too much of a chance with 4 of our goals yesterday - the defenders in front of him gave him little support or confidence.
He should have done better with Dioufs first goal and along with the Liverpool defenders could have blocked Walters when he scored
It's not that long ago that some fans were giving Bego a lot of stick for costly mistakes
I would take Mignolet as a back up / challenger to Jack especially if we get a good return from any sale IF BEGO GOES
We need to bring an experienced GK if needed
(I do think that Asmir will be sold)
Once the situation re De Gea is resolved the goalkeeper merry go round will begin.

It's alright saying he would be a good backup but I dont think for 1 second Mignolet would accept that. He could still be the number 1 at half the clubs in the league regardless of how we currently rate him.

Mignolet looks nervous everytime the ball comes near him. It was like a ticking time bomb that he had to get rid off to the nearest player, irrespective of wether they were under pressure or not. I can't imagine him inspiring confidence in his defenders.

He could still be the number 1 at half the clubs in the league regardless of how we currently rate him. I agree and believe he deserves to be at a Premiership club where he will get the top spot in goal I also think that it is important that we get an experienced goalkeeper to challenge Jack for the first choice here In the equation is the fact that Rodgers doesn't seem to rate Mignolet and I think that Begovic would have a better chance of being the No 1 goalkeeper at Liverpool rather than Man Utd for example - he might decide that Mignolet in the deal might favour Bego going to Anfield

Begovic would be ahead of Valdes if he went there.
The club that needs him the most,Arsenal, won't sign him.

Mignolet showed some excellent ability at Sunderland, perhaps he has flopped more to do with pressure of playing for a much bigger club. I have seen some rather ridiculous suggestions to say that we should not take a keeper worthy of challenging Jack as we could do without the confusion of who would be number 1. However, all it takes is 1 injury and then we have David Forde in goal...

15 mill and mignolet then put him on the bench Imagine what stupid money he is on at Liverpoo. He ain't getting a fraction of that to sit on our bench. Anyway I'd rather have David Forde as back up for a fraction of the cost than Mignolet (and just for the record I definitely don't want Forde). I've said all along we need a Shay Given/Tommy Sorensen(2 or 3 years ago) type keeper as back up to Butland who wouldn't let us down if called on but would help bring Jack along as well, not a big shot desperate to get in the first team ahead of him. Goalkeeping (and goalkeepers) is a whole different ball game to outfield players.

After Sunday, would Bego regard the move as a step up? I certainly wouldn't be wanting to move to Liverpool if I were a decent professional. I think they're really going to find it difficult attracting the kind of players they need to break into the top 4. Not to mention the fact that the atmosphere at the club looks shit.

The problem is that Mignolet would only come to us for a wage similar to what he is getting now. That would make him the second best keeper at Stoke whilst being the highest paid player - that is a recipe for discontent in the whole squad.

We have an excellent track record with goalies' and Mignolet is a step backwards.
I hope it's not true.
