Hudson's was against a great Liverpool side, we played really well yesterday, but you have to admit Rodgers really fucked it up. Nzonzi was the best midfielder out there, but not in Hudsons class Nobody loved Huddy more than me...... But he could never have scored that goal yesterday, no way!!

Amazing that Liverpool essentially started with 7 midfielders yesterday and yet the trio of N'Zonzi, Adam and Whelan completely dominated them from start to finish and made it look easy. N'Zonzi the stand out - his close control and ability to just glide past 2 or 3 men in succession when he's under pressure is outstanding. Honestly good enough to get into any side in the country with the exception of Chelsea.

Sadly, I'd be really surprised if he as still here come August. What a player he is And what a hole he'd leave. It's a worry but he really was beaming from ear to ear down in the corner with Arnie, Bojan and Muni - he looked totally happy with his current lot. That was the icing on the cake for me on one of the best ever days following Stoke.

Just watched the goals again for about the 20th time... It really struck me how under Pulis N'Zonzi barely smiled, whereas now he seems to be smiling and expressing himself all the time.
Just an excellent player.

I think it is critically important that N'Zonzi stays; no one is irreplaceable, but N'Zonzi nearly is. Clearly the Stoke board/PC have some sticking points like wages and stadium corners where they draw a line on expenditure, bit I think it is now time to move to a new level on players wages. The days of signing players like Peter Crouch who are moving towards the end of their careers is over, and if we are to keep N'Zonzi and Bego* and attract a higher class of player (signings like Bojan and Arni are few are far between) then the club needs to raise the cap on the wages structure. This would lead to a queue at the CEO's door asking for a wage rise, but the future income is secure from TV, particularly when the next round of USA TV rights** is negotiated, so it is time to act. This move is vital if we want to stay in the top half of the Prem. and go all the way in a cup competition. * We need 2 top class goal keepers if we intend to compete at the highest level. ** awfulannouncing.com/2015/premier-league-u-s-tv-rights-for-2016-19-might-be-the-subject-of-a-bidding-war.html

I really find it strange that there has never been any firm interest for Nzonzi. t He is the type of player that is never at the centre of a highlights reel (thats not been his game until recently), but his Opta Stats are out of this world.
I can honestly see him making a once in a lifetime to move to a Top Club on big money, as much as I want him to stay.
This could be the first summer of disappointments where we see our best players leaving. Hughesy has a BIG job on his hands

He seems to be really enjoying it here at the minute. Everton away surprised me when he came over to us fans as we were singing his name and he was singing and dancing.
Then on Sunday in the Boothen/Seddon corner with Bojan, Arnie, Muni etc. he was absolutely loving it, recording us fans singing his name and dancing around again.
Nothing needs to be said about his performance apart from the best I've ever seen as a Stoke fan. I know TP made a few 'dodgy' signings but 3.5m for N'Zonzi has turned out to be one hell of a bargain

I can bet my last penny that some big club will come knocking our door for nzonzi. Eg nzonzi would be a massive improvement on coquelin at arsenal. It willbe very hard to hold on to him. Would be great even at city and manure. Only at Chelsea might he be second fiddle to matic. In all the other top 6 sides he'd be automatic first choice. Worth at least 2o-25 million

Ive been lucky to have seen Hudson dismantle Liverpool, Chamberlain destroy Sansom, Beagries's purple patch, the Golden One in all his glory, Ricardo leave people face down in his wake,BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MORE COMPLETE PERFORMANCE THAN N''ZONZI YESTERDAY AGAINST LIVERPOOL?!??! ......and its easy torget that the last two score lines read Stoke Cuty 10 Tottenham and Liverpool 1.... Unbelievable!! Maths isn't your strong point, I assume?

Even if we increased our wage budget I doubt we'd go above 70k per week (assuming the limit is 50k now). Even doing that would likely cause a number of other players to come looking for a pay rise (Arnie, Ryan, Bojan, etc.).
If a top 6 club came in for him we couldn't compete in terms of wages. I'm sure he could get 80k+ at one of those clubs and so if someone does bid for him we have to hope that he's happy enough here to turn them down.

Nzonzi was fantastic.
It's far more important to us that we get him signed on a long-term contract than it is Bego.

He was knocking over their players heads and running on to it, tapping it through their legs and running on to it. Absolutely immense. If we keep the spine of our team together (and fit!) this summer, who knows where we might finish next year.
