I was talking to my brother yesterday and Charlie as everyone will say was amazing. There was one point when he chased a ball with vertongen before he went off and probably was 20 yards behind him, they both got to the ball at the same time. Are we finally seeing Charlie pushing to his full potential and become fit? Wouldn't of got anywhere near that ball 2-3 months ago.

If he keeps scoring every week I'd give him one, in the half light anyway

Overweight, unfit liability who cannot play in a midfield two,or on the same pitch as Ireland. I'd sell him to the first club that comes in for him.

He scores at least a few brilliant goals every season, capable of wonder moments, always one of our top scorers and can pick out a few assists. I don't understand stand why people don't like him, once he has a decent run of games he hits brilliant form like he has done now. He doesn't deserve all the hate he gets on here, he's one of our best players

I'd play him in practically every home game but rarely, if ever, away.
He certainly needs to play most weeks if we are to see the best of him, fitness wise (like most players I guess).

To be honest I think he is playing for his future. He wants to stay so is putting the effort in as he had been inconsistent. In the form he is showing now I would definitely keep him. not a bit part player but can now play a whole game and have an impact / influence. Scored because he was the furthest forward and has an instinct for goal.

It looks like he could improve his fitness, but he's also capable of grabbing a match by the neck and score important goals. I hope we keep him.

He's as fit as he's probably ever been but he did look knackered around the time he went off so not fully fit but getting there......he's got to keep it up over the summer and lay off the pints and pies.

Very wise to get rid of our biggest goal thret from midfield? How many points have he won us after Christmas? 6 goals after how many starts? I could have agreed to this 4 months ago, but he has been sensational lately! Sometimes football fans really makes me wonder!?

Yep I thought the same - looking very fit now - one or two runs actually showed real pace and he lasted well until substituded - play him regular is the secret with Charlie

The only players to score more premier league goals for us than Charlie Adam are Walters, Crouch and Fuller.
If you can't see that he is a useful player to have around then thank God you aren't our manager.

The real elephant in the room is Bojan and how you fit both Charles and Mr B in the same team
So unless we change to 2 attacking mid and 1 defensive (Nzonzi) next season its hard for Charlie.
Although I think Ireland is a waste of space, as is Sidwell.
Best team when all fit (from current squad and form)
------Butland/Bego---- Gcam Shawx Muni Pieters --------Nzonzi--------- ----Adam------Bojan---- Odem-------------Arnie --------Diouf---------
However I think Hughes will have bought 3/4 more quality players in, and shifted some of the old guard.

As you say he's an elephant in the room now when Bojan comes back, do you drop whelan or nzonzi for the cover? I said watching yesterday he looks a lot trimmer then he has been for a while and I too believe he's playing for his future. I like him he gets you goals, drives you forward, creates chances and something that goes unnoticed he wins a lot of free kicks to relieve pressure. But on the other hand he will miss 5-7 games a season through suspension. He can't tackle and his mobility is still a it of an issue...

I am willing to sacrifice by eating all of his extra pies/cheeseburgers and pints. Least I can do for the lad and Stoke. By the way the next time any of you geezers come over to Tampa try 3 Daughters Brewing Company's Bimini Twist IPA. Ranks right up there with Cigar Brewing Company's Jai Lai IPA (which is the official beer of the Florida Oatcake's Stoke Supporters). Happy to serve.

You were doing well until this, he's been sent off once in his stoke career, and banned on one other occasion for that 'stamp' on Giroud which was debatable, he's not missed a single game this year through suspension, so the fact that he gets sent off a lot and is a liability, is an oatcake myth
