Texaire Bardsley Pieters Wollscheild Whelan Palacios Wilson
This is of course if we want to go to the next level, if we don't then keep all of them and keep bringing in second best

Begovic if this contract stuff doesn't blow over Sorensen Wilkinson Cameron (think he will) One of our back up CB's (Wollscheid/Wilson/Huth) Adam I'd let Crouch go but it won't happen Monitor Odemwingie but maybe him too.
Palacios is a given.

Sorro Wilko Palacios Sidwell Wolfi Bardsley Texeira
All the others have lots still to offer whether it's on a first 11 or squad basis

Odemwingie (2015) Wilkinson (2015) Sorensen (2015) Palacios (2015) -------------------- Begovic (2016) N'Zonzi (2016) Wilson (2016) Cameron (2016) Walters (2016) Huth (2016) Sidwell (2016) Adam (2016) Ness (2016) -------------------- Muniesa (2017) Pieters (2017) Arnautovic (2017) Bardsley (2017) Ireland (2017) Teixeira (2017) Whelan (2017) Crouch (2017) -------------------- Shawcross (2018) Bojan (2018) Diouf (2018) -------------------- Butland (2019)
Don't think there's any debate on Palacios, Wilko or Soro. And seems unthinkable Wingie won't get something.
But all the interesting stuff seems to be swirling around the 2016 lot. And if new deals aren't agreed, they'll presumably be off?
He's got very interesting calls on new deals with Wilson, Cameron, Walters, Huth and Adam - and things will become clear one way or the other with Begovic and N'Zonzi too.
In terms of the players contracted until 2017, I'd be amazed if any of them were sold except maybe Bardsley (but hard to see his market on his wage?)

Presumably you mean sell as most of those are in contract and will be retained.
I do think your being incredibly unfair on pieters, he's not been outstanding by any means but also hasn't been bad. Texiera also by Hughes admission was brought in for the future but due to our terrible luck with injuries was rushed into the squad.
Whelan and Bardsley also don't deserve to be on that list they both have lots to offer as squad players.

Odemwingie (2015) Wilkinson (2015) Sorensen (2015) Palacios (2015) -------------------- Begovic (2016) N'Zonzi (2016) Wilson (2016) Cameron (2016) Walters (2016) Huth (2016) Sidwell (2016) Adam (2016) Ness (2016)
Out of those I would look to keep Odem, SJW and Huthy. I don't think Bego wants to stay, although I would love it if he spent the rest of his career at SCFC.
This summer is the time to see Cameron, N'Zonzi and Adam out of the club while we might get some money for them.
I don't mind Wilson for his versatility, but I'm sure we could swap him for a younger version who is just as effective.

There would be dependencies for some of these, but my ideal off season would look something like this:
1) Sell Bego unless there's no decent offers for him. Butland becomes the starting GK and we then need to bring in a quality back-up. 2) Buy a quality RB, sell Cameron (Bardsley remains as cover) -- I think we could get something for Cameron from a promoted team due to his versatility. 3) Bring Moses in on a permanent move 4) Bring Odemwingie back on small salary with bonuses based on appearances. 5) Unless we get a generous offer for Huth, bring him back and let Wollschied go. Otherwise, cash in on Huth and sign Wolly as cover behind Muni. 6) Bring in an upgrade for Whelan. We need somebody to match what Whelan does defensively and also play positive passes up the pitch. 7) Purchase a starter quality right attacking midfielder. 8) Purchase a natural goal scoring striker who can mesh with Bojan.
I would be targeting a net spend of maybe 10-12 million which would leave us with something like this next year:
........Butland. RB..ShawX...Muni....Pieters. ......DM......Fonzi. RAM......Bojan......Moses. ...Goal Scoring Striker...
Bench: Veteran GK, Huth, Bardsley, Ireland, Adam, [2 from Walters, Wingie, Arnie, Diouf, Whelan and Crouch]
Squad: 3rd GK, Wilson, Sidwell
If I can't sell Cameron for a decent price, I keep him and go with:
........Butland. RB..ShawX...Muni....Pieters. ......DM......Fonzi. RAM......Bojan......Moses. ...Goal Scoring Striker...
Bench: Veteran GK, Wilson, Cameron, Ireland/Adam, [3 from Walters, Wingie, Arnie, Diouf and Crouch]
Squad: 3rd GK, Whelan, Huth, Bardsley
(In this set up, Huth pushed off the bench because he lacks versatility not because he is a worse CB than Wilson. Similar situation with Bardsley.)

Begovic (2016) Stay. N'Zonzi (2016) Stay Wilson (2016) Sold. Cameron (2016) Sold. Walters (2016) Sold. Huth (2016) Sold. Sidwell (2016) Sold. Adam (2016) Stay. Ness (2016) Sold.
PO Released. Wilko released. Soro released/retired. WP released. Wolfie sent back although I would sign him.

Defo Wilko and Palacios. Sorro could be renewed for another year as it probably doesn't hurt - epsecially if Bego may be off. Other than that a few to be loaned out and a couple sold.
