Gcam spent half the game on his arse
other players slipping - stumbling or tripping over the ball
other players slicing their passes continually - to arrive the player running - out of his stride
one common feature I noticed
they were all (well most of them) wearing those ridiculous dayglo orange 'slip on' boots
good players dont become crap players overnight
could it be those stupid fucking boots ?

I'm pretty sure he changed his boots at halftime. First half they were orange, second half white and dark blue. He probably swapped them because he slipped so many times in the first frame.

I wish they'd calm down the sprinklers too. Wooly looks like he's running on moss, he might actually be.

I noticed they all seem to have them now - some money spinning sponsorship deal going on plainly
my opinion - they are shit boots
they could be costing us points
and points means money
and league position
go back to proper 'normal' ones ASAP

Geoff has swapped them a few times. Bad boots that he has to wear due to sponsorship?

Shawcross slipped in the area as well that could have proven costly had Bego not saved it....(not Shawcross's fault mind ya)!!!
The sprinklers do need to be toned down a little, maybe a couple of hours before kick off and that's it.......why they need to water the pitch again at half time is beyond me???

It's definitely not the colour of the boots that's the problem! The studs on the other hand, there's something weird and it's not the first time this season it's like watching 'cameron on ice' most weeks! Was it against the Arse or that time of year he had one game where he couldn't stay stood up!

Suppose that's fair enough...but it could prove costly for us as much as it could the opposition, as we saw yesterday.....can't see the point in it myself though, it's hardly like the pitch is gonna dry out, it's just makes conditions slippery!!!

Pretty sure yesterday was the first time ever that Geoff didn't use his old "outside of the boot" favourite too

Sprinklers as suggested is due to the manager's tactical orders.
The new boots don't make too much difference IMO - the 'slip on' ones are meant to be more comfortable and less likely to cause foot disturbances due to the built-in sock. Again, it's probably a blade-vs-stud debate in reality.
Although last weekend, it looked to me like most of the players were wearing moulded artificial surface-type boots, rather than 'soft ground' boots (i.e. proper studs or blades).

A bit of good weather and players start wearing the short moulded blade boot, it's like they forget the pitch is watered with 100s of litres of water a day.

He spent more tome on his arse than he did his feet and second half came out in the same white boots he wore in the second half yesterday. Once is careless. Twice is rank stupidity.

The solution is for all defenders to wear plain black Adidas World Cups, no matter what they're offered by sponsors. I'm a huge fan of Ryan but Ffs, neon green/luminous urine coloured boots? Come on.

Begovic said the pitch was very slippery Maybe because they flood it before the game and at halftime regardless of the weather.

The fact he changed his boots must show something. It showed that the first pair were utterly ridiculous and not fit for purpose. Wearing them in the first place might be to do with boot deals but changing them for his old white boots, the ones he's worn all season, doesn't.
