There's 4 of us going Burnley to watch Stoke and gonna stay over for a night, have a few drinks, curry house etc. Youngest one is 35, so a night clubbing doesn't appeal anymore! Can anyone suggest the area in Burnley to go out in, then we can book a hotel near there.
Any help is appreciated.

Went there 40 odd years ago. Miserable shit-hole then. Dread to think what it's like now.

Hi pal, there's 2 decent places to stay either the premiere in which is around 5 mins walk to the ground and has a Brewers fair with it or there's the holiday inn which is just off junction 10 of the m65 (where I live right next to). Right for a night out in burnley I will be honest with you it has loads of pubs and bars but which ones to use well the only ones I would recommend is the bridge inn , the boot inn and maybe Witherspoon's called the BRUN LEA and also the big window. Like I say there's plenty to choose from oh I forgot the INN ON THE WARF which ain't bad. As for curry house this is burnley my mate so no shortage there. In town the AROMA is really good but if you get a taxi and ask for the USHER 5 mins out of town but really good. I could go on pal. If you book holiday in P.M me and I will come over to meet you and give you some more info. ENJOY whatever you decide.

If its a pub crawl and a curry then you can't beat the village of Barrowford in my opinion. What night you planning on staying. I've got Stokies bunking down at mine on Fri and Sat but I can only drink at home on Sat because my other half is at a wedding so I have to be home to look after my boys. Hotel wise, there are 3 as mightyone says. The Premier Inn is closest to the ground I think and only a short walk to the ground and into town. You can have a decent night in Burnley. Its not dissimilar from Hanley or Newcastle in that respect. Bit rough in places but some decent boozers and can't go wrong in the hunt for a curry if that's your thing.

Where we going pal before the game? Cricket club I reckon unless the few Burnley supporters I know that actually bother to attend the game invite us elsewhere. Can't see it though so will probably be Cricket club from 12.
