Game of two halves or what - but honestly we weren't that good second half either, just one of those days it didn't quite gel I think - top marks though to Leslie for getting the most out of the second half, play badly and win is the real mark of a manager getting it right for me.
8* from me

8*
Finally listened to bayern with his starting line up. Great subs and another media darling kicked into the long grass.

Picked the right team (except maybe Cameron for Whelan, with Bardsely at FB, whch might have prevented their goal), must have given them a right bollocking at HT and made the right substitutions. Oh and BTW we won. So must be 9+ (never give a 10).

8* Finally listened to bayern with his starting line up. Great subs and another media darling kicked into the long grass. I actually thought he got the subs wrong! It was right to bring Charlie on but I'd have sacrificed Glenn at the time. I also wouldn't have taken Diouf off BUT (and this is why he's a manager and I'm not!) we got the result so he deserves credit for it.

Diouf did nothing to deserve his sub but the team weren't using him either, so he was a bit of a dead duck indirectly. Not his fault at all. Walters will always offer you something either way. The manager recognised this and made the correct sub, as harsh as it was in terms of performance.

8* - Right call to bring Charlie on, as his directness caused them problems. Ok, so not the greatest performance from us today, first half we were sloppy and not at the races, but he obviously tore a strip off the players at half time and we looked more hungry second half. Bottom line is we won today, we needed to win as we were in danger of our season peetering out if we lost again.

Ireland was injured and had had a poor first half (probably because of). Diouf had gone out of the game for a while (but may have been useful playing on the counter). 8 for me.

10. Struggling to find fault in what hughes did today. Went with the right 11. Changed it accordingly and imo won in relatively easy fashion.

That was the only doubt in my mind about the sub given Ireland and injuries! If it was the case then that was fair though and Glenn was a lucky boy.

9*. Southampton are a good side and we won that with grit and determination. He sent them out fired up second half and it showed. Crouch and Sidwell substitutions were well timed. Great result. Well done Mark Hughes.

Made the necessary subs due to form and the injury... 8. We are far more attacking in that starting eleven of available squad players.

Thought he should have brought crouch on earlier , it was obvious there big defenders were having a comfortable afternoon

8 - most people would have picked that team, possibly Charlie for Ireland, but the players losing concentration not his fault, and the subs paid off.

9 poor first half but it appeared to have been addressed at half time and we won. Can't really ask for more than that.
