F.F.S...Just watched the debate last night, what a vile anti English witch Sturgeon is.... Although I no longer reside in the UK I still love our Country, and I pray to God that this cow has no seat at the big table ever.

I think Nicola Sturgeon harks back to the Real Socialists of 60's and 70's and not the Tory Lite socialist versions we get from England today, it's certainly refreshing, it's the reason she gets a strong positive response from the audience and the polls it seems.

I don't like her hair , but as a politician representing her party and country , then she is th finest politician that Scotland has produced in a very very long time .
I underestimated her , but having seen her systematically destroy several party leaders recently it is not difficult to see her obvious prowess.
If I was Scottish , then I would definitely be voting for her .
Scotland within a decade will go it alone , led by her .

We would have a similar outcome to the 70's with her party too In my opinion

Every time Milliband says "look, let me answer you directly", and then completely ignores the question - I buy another lottery ticket. I guarantee you will have at least half a dozen per week if you try it.
And if I win the jackpot as a result I will be writing to "thank" the evasive buffoon, and will be buying property abroad so that I never have to listen to his pseudo-earnest whine again.

Correct. A large slice of the electorate is clearly crying out for an alternative to Tory or Tory-lite. No doubt why some people will vote UKIP regardless of what Farage says or does.

Like everything else, the 70s were all Labour's fault, despite the fact that the Tories were in power for half the decade I await the comment - yes but everything was fine in the first half of the decade!

F.F.S...Just watched the debate last night, what a vile anti English witch Sturgeon is.... Although I no longer reside in the UK I still love our Country, and I pray to God that this cow has no seat at the big table ever. In what sense is she anti-English? I didn't hear any one comment (and I watched most of it) where she was anti-English. Or do you mean anti-Conservative, which is probably closer to the truth, and you have taken it upon yourself to extend that to mean anti-English? If so, bit of a leap isn't it?

Maybe not in last nights debate, or indeed in this election, as she has been advised to tone it down a bit, but if you listen to her during the independence vote she came across very anti English,

I am actually warming to her. Out of all the party leaders i think she would make the best prime minister. The fact that she is scottish will obviously have an affect, but i find that is a pretty poor excuse to condemn someone. The country needs a leader and i think she would make a great one.

We are britain and should be choosing a party to represent britain and not england.

Politically I've nothing against her either and she's certainly smashed the debates but I always come back to the point that it's actually quite easy to be principled about various topics when you've got no real chance of forming an actual government which will subsequently be held up to scrutiny over the next five years.

To me she came across as very pro-Scottish, very anti-Tory and very anti-Westminster political ruling class but not especially anti-English. Maybe I missed it?

No but Alec is Then he should take her place in the debates. She can say what she likes without accountability as she isn't putting herself forward for the vote. Democracy in action?

She's the leader of the Parliamentary Party though, so it'd be a bit weird.
It comes back to the whole point of either having a United Kingdom or don't. Not the strange three-quarter independence and two parliaments we have now! You get this kind of mess where a party leader is not even a member of the parliament she's debating about and with!

I find it incredibly ironic that the SNP one the one hand seem to despise rule from Westminster and all the English meddling in Scottish affairs , when at the same time embracing their membership of the EU along with the federalist agenda being forced on them

To be fair there vote is rock solid so a chimp could lead the party and they would still sweep Scotland. The rise of the SNP has and will lead to hung parliaments from now on the "big" two are over.

After the SNP lost the independence referendum her main aim ahead of the next one appears to be to extort as much money as possible from the treasury and have it sent up to Scotland.
The SNP tail wagging the UK dog with Ed Milliband notionally at the helm is a terrifying prospect to me.

I would rather it be spent up in Scotland than wasted on the immigrants who have no qualifications or proven worth to this country. There's bugger all difference between either main leader at the moment . Just look at Cameron's record on immigration for starters and the national debt stats . Crazy.

No 'deal' does not mean they can not/will not work together after May 7th.

So Pro Scottish, Anti Tory, Anti Westminster having a say in Scottish issues, but seemingly heading for No 10 in a coalition...NO THANK YOU. The fact that she bangs on about Westminster should butt out of Scotland says to me she belongs north of the border and NOT IN WESTMINSTER. We all know the Scottish vote for non independence was such a flimsy majority that it is inevitable that it will happen again, and that they will almost certainly vote yes, so what then, surely any coalition with the SNP would be completely null and void.
