He doesn't post on here anymore but, as Mark W has said, he is a reader of the board. He does post on facebook so anyone who knows him can find him on there - he uses his proper name.
Still a big Stoke fan, has a season ticket and gets to most home games. Not sure if he still goes to away games but, as I rarely go to away games south of Stoke myself, that may be why I haven't seen him.

He reads avidly so you can wave to him. So he hasn't given up his stalking behaviour then.

Wasn't there some big deal with coffee with him? Or was that some other person? Anyone remember?
Someone should do a history of the Oatcake, there's probably a few 'in jokes' that don't make much sense to folk who've had better things to do with their lives for the past 15-20 years :D

I think he was contemplating training as a barrista (sp.) in between delivering pizzas to Bryan Adams. IIRC, obv.

He used to go by the name of Berlingo Boy at one point, I think that was about the time his mum was going to sue GD and the Rodney Bewes Affair, Trouble was you never knew which Ilford Dave was going to turn up, the drunk fall asleep one or the self- opinionated legally mothered ginger one.
I don't think Bewes ever worked again after the premature reporting of his demise which is a bit ironic as he starred in "Whatever happened to..."

He had a reputation for falling asleep at IBPU's and one night we had a sweepstake on when he would inevitably slump face first onto the table. Phil Rawlins had him down for 11pm on the dot. I went for five minutes to the hour and won. Ilford Dave Ale. Legend. Mr Rat,
The real question hear* is
Has anyone ever seen Dave 'Dave' Ale and Ilford 'Illflid' Dave in the same room ?
I think we should be told
GD

His Sunday morning round up was excellent, he could be a little stubborn at times but was certainly no harm, unless you are Rodney Bewes.

So still thinks he is above us all ? I liked him. When he declared himself a legend on the old board, I still regard that as the best thing on the internet ever. Some of the piss-taking on that thread was (ironically) the stuff of legend. If anyone can find a link to this then they should. It's brilliant. I had a quick look but nothing - unless Smudger can give us a link the only person I remember being able to throw stuff like this up was Para Didn't you meet up for coffee with Ilflid occasionally Skip???

I've never seen them in the same room although their universes nearly crossed outside the back of Stoke town hall but I think Ilford Rodney Bewes Berlingo Ale Dave preferred something of a different flavour that night. Luckily for him, lucky for us all as had Ilford Dave met Berlingo Dave Ale in the same room the Oatcake would have been sucked into a vortex and killed the internet.

And just because he hasn't slagged me off on Twitter for a while I give you; Is alberta the biggest, most stupid ,social fooked up girl you have ever encountered . I have met the poor unfortunate alberta in Delilah's , and I found her to be a bit of a social inadequate , constantly needing to have her ego fed (god knows why she is nothing to look at, though I'm sure the tan improves her, hard to say never her seen her without it) so much so she has been known to wear t-shirts with her own name on the back . (something i find very strange, i have met many many oatcake posters , and have been referred to as "IlfordDave the legend" on meeting some, something which makes me burn brighter than a 100KW electric fire with embarrassment, as whilst i have an opinion and am not afraid to voice it, its not something i set out for, or expected, I even feel embarrassed when I hear the people behind me talking to themselves and saying that's IlfordDave in front, and anyone who doesn't believe that should ask the people who I have traveled to games with or drank afterwards with) Where as alberta seems to positively revel in her own infamy oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/93040oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/166119/legend-lives-on
