I'm shocked that your usual, happy-go-lucky, spring in your step mentality has allowed you to dislike anyone. Howe seems like a Sherwood type twat too. Really don't see how he's remotely like Sherwood. Seems like a nice down to earth guy. Always keen to big up the team as opposed to himself AND has brought the club up 2 (potentially 3) divisions rather than just landing in Prem jobs having not earnt his corn. Don't get this comparison at all.

I've a horrible feeling that they'll turn into insufferable media darlings. I hope not because it's great seeing them get promoted. I said this a while a go coupled with their fans calling us 'cloggers' and telling us how they play the right way. You can see it a fucking mile off! Those Brighton cunts did it and they didn't even get into the Prem. H Very reminiscent of when the Baggies won the title in 2008. Look how that turned out

Eddie Howe is a cracking young manager. Destined for great things. Future England manager. Bournemouth were heading out of the league when he first took over, next season they went up to League 1. Can't see them lasting more than one season but can see them making a go of it like Blackpool did- won't they need to open temporary stands as their capacity is too small? Destined for great things, future England manager. There is nothing great about managing England nowadays.

I'd like to see Brentford up too, but they blew two points away today...still time though.

Straight back down, them. That's what people said about us. Good luck to 'em. Agree wholeheartedly, hope they do well and stay up, the Premier League needs more "smaller" clubs having a good run of seasons up here. Their fans must be ecstatic. We surely know that feeling. Let them enjoy it, and bloody good luck to them next season (except for two games). Seriously, I'd love it if they did well. I'm SICK of everything being about Man U, Man C, Chelsea etc.

Just been mentioned on Goals On Sunday Bournemouth might be forced to ground share if promoted, as there ground is not big enough to host premiership matches so it could be a extra trip to Southampton so dont get your weekend booked just yet.

What a great shame it would be if they got promoted then couldn't play at home! If they do go up, hope they find a way around it.

Blackpool were allowed to host premiership matches so I can't see what the problem is. Gouranga.

Bloomfield road holds 17000 whereas Bournemouth's ground only holds 12000 i think, so I would guess the cut off point would be somewhere around 15000 although I don't know.

I would imagine that they would carry out some modifications during the summer to begin make it suitable. Gouranga.

Correct they say the are going to fill in the corners(sound familiar) and extend one of the stands but wont be in time for the new season.

Surely the Premiership would allow Bournemouth at least a season to get plans in order to increase the capacity!? Kind of like how clubs with terraces have several seasons to replace them once promoted to the 2nd tier+.

You would have thought they may have started it throughout this season once they knew they were going to be in with a chance of going up. May be they could install a temporary stand or something for 1 season? not sure if that's possible or if there is such thing though

Just done a bit of research on the regulations and it states a minimum of 15,000 all seater and seperate press facilities.

In the past non-league clubs have been prevented from joining leagues that their promotions have qualified them for.
If there is a requirement for Premier League clubs to have a ground of a certain specification then clubs that do not meet that requirement should not be promoted.
Rules is rules.

i may be wrong here, but when Southampton played at The Dell, their capacity was 15,200 !! and they built an extra 200 seats just to qualify for ground regulations as i said i could be wrong mind

Ought to be allowed a season to adjust, who suffers - their own supporters, away allocation can be accommodated. Not sensible rules just jobsworths.

Just tried to plough through the Premier League rule book and couldn't find any mention of ground capacity.
There are pages and pages about TV facilities, mixed zones, interview areas, undersoil heating etc, pitch size, grass length, internet connectivity etc, but as far as I could see nothing about actual capacity.
Brentford may also be in trouble should they get promoted.

I live down this way and the way the local rag and its fan's blog for on line games goes they think they are Barcelona......it will be the same old tiresome shit about playing the right way and we will be the anti Christ of good football. I'm not looking forward to it. They're enjoying the moment, they've never been in the top league, allow them some me time. It gives every other small club hope.

One stand behind the goal at Dean court is a temporary one. As well as filling the corners they could potentially built and bigger permanent structure in this area, which could ensure they are not sharing for long.
Brentford on the other hand have to much old terracing and given the ground is landlocked by some houses and those 4 pubs on the corner they will probably have to ground share until their new ground is built at Kew.
At least it's not like Inverness when they had a 200 mile round trip to Aberdeen for their home games until their ground was upgraded.

How could they possibly share stadiums with Southampton? The same as Coventry shared with Northampton at Sixfields.

In a scenario where 1 team spends its money upgrading it's ground to meet the criteria for promotion, and 1 uses it's money to buy players and doesn't upgrade it's ground to meet the criteria, this team then pips the team whose ground is ready for promotion, imagine if that was Stoke and Vale, there would be a lot of unhappy Stokies kicking up a fuss about rules and regulations. They are there before the season starts, clubs know them, sign into the league for that season, so should abide by them.

Were we certain that we would be promoted before the season started? Not saying there shouldn't be proper rules just that they have to be reasonable. How many teams get promoted and go straight back down.Give them that first season to comply.
