He is a really good bloke, spoke to him on various occasions, he likes supporters interaction to gauge what they want from the club to help make their experience of coming the game a better one. Obviously some ideas are unattainable but he still looks into it.

He could have proof read the letter. "It's a very exciting at the moment" This just proves that the letter is genuine and comes from Stoke City! Typos and grammatical errors are our strongest point!

Nice touch but if I'm going to be picky I wish we could send a letter to kids without the 365 logo. I know we wear it proudly but to send a personal letter to a child with the logo endorsed could be very impressionable. Betting is extremely addictive and can become a severe depressant

Betting is extremely addictive and can become a severe depressant I agree - I suppose the club don't even have any stationery without the logo.

He could have proof read the letter. "It's a very exciting at the moment" Perhaps for humour, we were adopting a 'Borat' style??

Not only is it an excellent thing to do it also makes sound commercial sense. Well done Stoke, you have represented this area wonderfully.

He could have proof read the letter. "It's a very exciting at the moment" Read it with an Italian accent and it makes perfect sense.

First, a little warning, John - Anthony doesn't want to be called "Tony" - I asked him about that and got an answer. He was the deserved winner of the FSF Supporters Liaison Officer of the Year award ( I had nothing to do with that decision). He "gets it" about supporters, the way we think and how important we are to the club. In my dealings with him he has always been helpful and efficient. He was at Middlesborough before Stoke and did some good things there to improve relations between the club and its enthusiastic younger fans. ( mine's a pint for that, Anthony, thanks - since I know you read this Board )

I wudda thought that there would be a crappy prewritten stock letter to be sent to fans letters but what a great job from Anthony Emerson and what a classy response to the kids letter it shows that they genuinely care about the supporters.
