Cloudy here. Dull, but I guess it's going to get duller. This is going to spoil (a bit) all the jokes I've got lined up about the sky going black with it being the Mrs birthday .

The song Bonnie Tyler should have sung. I think if I start playing Bonnie Tyler at 9 in the morning my Mrs is going to kill me....

So that was it then?
I can only describe it as, it looked as though it was going to rain...and didn't.

That has to be the most over hyped event ever. I feel like i have been robbed, and i feel sorry for my kids going to school expecting something amazing.

to be fair it was only overhyped if it was cloudy or if you were trying to view it with the naked eye (and trying to view anything other than a Total eclipse with the naked eye never really achieves anything, it just goes a bit twilighty and cold because even only 10% or so of the suns rays being visible is enough to almost completely obscure any view of the moon's shape anyway). i think the problem is that a hell of a lot of people seemed to have the impression it was a total eclipse or that 85-90% would achieve something like a total eclipse..it just doesn't. using pinhole cameras (which my mum did) and/or eclipse glasses or welding glass gave an awesome view. the fact that it was lovely clear, blue skies here helped too obviously

Not at all visible here in SE Asia, but I did have to laugh at this dumb ass American radio presenter in Phnom Penh, he said, ay yes, an eclipse, that is when the moon is directly between the Earth & The Sun......or is it the other way round...Yeah, that's be right, the sun is between the earth and the moon...

If the eclipse happened at night, we would not need to wear glasses.

Nothing to see or report down south, all a damp squib in truth. Not sure who you complain to these days. There was a time when you would have written to the BBC care of Patch Moore but those days are gone

Too cloudy in East Anglia to see anything at all, didn't even know it had happened :(
Very sunny here now it's all over, I reckon it was a plot by the local councils to ensure the record of fuck all ever happening here continues without blemish.
