Hey up lads/lasses. I've always liked Stoke because we seem to have some sort of unofficial affiliation (Butland, Arismendi, Shotton, Dickinson, Tonge and of course Waring) with you and I'm not keen on Vale either.
Thought i'd sign up to board to give you updates on Waring (If interested).
So yeah, started off well vs Yeovil grabbing himself a goal. He started to dip a little bit after. He's been excellent in last 2/3 games, grabbing a goal today, but also putting a massive shift in midweek vs Scunthorpe, he was hobbling about towards end because he ran is self in to the ground. I think if he's given the chance at Stoke he could be a useful player. He doesn't win many headers for a lad of 6'5, but he battles and seems to be in the right place at the right time.
Not the finished product by any stretch, but he's playing 80 mins or so a week and will get a lot better.
Well done on beating Hull today also.

Nice one. Great result for you guys at Gillingham. Hope your new gaffer can put you on a late push for the playoffs. With George firing you back into the Championship.

Good to know he's doing well. That's quite a big away win for you lot today when you consider how tight it is the bottom half of League 1.
Hopefully he keeps bagging goals for you mate.

I'm thrilled with is contribution so far, looks hungry and looks like he enjoys playing football.
If for some reason he doesn't make it at Stoke, i'd happily have him back here on a permanent basis.
Looking good for you guys in the league, you aiming for Europe or consolidation?

Given injuries, top 10 or better will be a great year.
Keep us updated as to how he gets on, sure quite a few of us will be interested. Thanks for the update nonetheless, decent post.

Yeah took a strong dislike to them after the Vale Park fiasco in September. The fans are absolute idiots.
Up until that meeting they have been irrelevant to us.

Seems to be doing well at Oakwell. We have sent them some rubbish on loan over the years but they should be happy with George. Perhaps get him a Championship loan next season?

Saw him at the academy training and at a u21 game, he reads the game very well. He's one to keep hold of and send out for experience. Great lad too, talked with him about Chester and was joking with him about big shoes to fill (ie Crouch's clown feet.)

Made the league one team of the week at the weekend and got MOTM tonight. Bright future for him.

Very happy he's grabbing some goals now.
The reports were that he was hard working, a decent footballer etc but no well one goal that he scored on debut. So he's gone from 1 in 10 to 3 in 12. If he can carry on at that rate it will have been a very successful loan!

Well here i go again..
He's only gone and done again.. Played brilliantly tonight, held the ball up very well and created some decent attacks. He was also named MOTM and it was thoroughly deserved too.
I mentioned Saturday that he doesn't win many headers..he scored with is head today (made me look silly)
He's won over our fans, proper pro.
Thats it from me until he scores again on Saturday against Walsall.

Not bad for a lad at his age getting started in a difficult league where every gane is a battle.

He's scored 3.
Todays goal was the pick of the 3, looping header over the keeper.
Got booked for celebrating too enthusiastically ha.
