Maybe, he wouldn't get in the side over Ireland for me though and would he be ok with being benched?

Not for me. His form completely dried up when he was at everton, plus is he even match fit?

I'd take him on a pay as you play deal. Looked terrific at the World Cup. Made a very shite Australia team look half reasonable.
Still terrific in the air.

Maybe a few years ago not sure now though, saying that he has a better attitude than any of the other top players out there,so maybe pay as you play deal,at least if Hughes thought he could do a job he would play him not like errr Owen/Pulis

I'd take Cahill, be a good impact sub and still knows where the onion bag is. Another to watch out for is 22 year old Massimo Luongo, player of the tournament in the Asian Cup, scored a cracker from 25 yards, currently plying his trade in League 1 for Swindon Town after being bought from Tottenham for £400k last year. Swindon have just turned down a £3m bid from Cardiff saying they want him to help them secure promotion to the Championship...
Can you imagine a League 1 player making the English national team?!

You wouldn't get a league one player playing for England because they wouldn't be good enough, although Australia won the Asian Cup they are still pretty average.

Rog Hey up chaps I'd take Cahill, but Luongo stood out for mine in the Asian Cup. He's got good feet, good field sense and some of his passing was superb during the earlier games (the Final was just a different game altogether, and he had less of an impact) Clever player, who will definitely make it at a higher grade

The lightning killed some poor bugger earlier this mornin, blew up a transformer station in a shopping centre and left another 3 critical! Hope all is well over east!

Heard about the explosion in that shopping centre. Poor chap goes off to the shops and never comes home; life's certainly a numbers game. Mixed weather over here but had some good rain last month which is excellent if you are living off water tanks outside of Bathurst. Darkside lives on the land down near Canberra and he's in the same boat. Met up with some Stokies recently including JoefromOz and Tijuana Brass for a beer in Sydney. Not the same as Pedigree - gassy cold stuff - but you get used to it dunner yer! Cheers Rog

Tim Cahill is a proper player. One of my favourite non-Stoke players. Love his spirit, determination and ridiculous aerial ability.

I would for the remainder.
What's to lose?
Still a player and no need to count your fingers after shaking hands with the vendor.
Slot him in behind SJW & the job's a good 'un.
CBA to read all about his Chinese adventure but I assume the season dates there won't fit.
Ho hum.
