I'm just waiting for this to be headlined on the BBC website. After all, if UKIP came out with something as daft as that then we all know what coverage it would get.

"Membership of ISIS was formally banned when it became prescribed organisation last summer."
So ISIS is now prescription-only? For which conditions?
"Prescribed organisation" requires an indefinite article also.
Daily Mail in illiterate nonsense shock.

If you can't read between the lines of that article and have an understanding of what's really going on with it then i would suggest perhaps that you need to educate yourself using a different medium than the Daily Mail for the purposes of political debate. It really is so basically transparent, juxtaposing The Greens with ISIS/ISIL, come on eh? So she's said that it shouldn't be a crime to think differently.......that's "THINK"..... She then Stresses that inciting violence or supporting violence should be illegal Where's the story, Am i missing something?

To be fair mate, we are talking about a newspaper that was all in favour of Britain joining forces with Nazi Germany at one point so I'm guessing that freedom of thought isn't something its staff would hold very dear.

Considering the abuse people get for joining a legal organisation such as the BNP then she is a bit misguided for saying this. Stuff like this is why the greens will never get a credible share of votes nationwide. And the guardian have picked it up too www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/jan/25/terrorist-organisation-membership-no-crime-say-greensPlus she is wrong, joining an a banned terrorist organisation is not an action of thought it's an action of actually doing somthing.

It is in the Guardian, but they actually report what she said without twisting it to make out she supports terrorism and making out the Green party are somehow a danger to us all.
Read it. Read what she says. Really, read it.
Anyway, I'm off to Rochdale so I'll leave you lot to your hysterical rants about anybody who dare suggest thoughts should not be criminalised.

To not go big on this story on the BBC would reek of an agenda against UKIP.

Regardless of how and where it's reported anyone involved with illegal terrorist organisations regardless of their level of participation is just as bad. Supporting organisations that carry out these disgusting acts are just as bad as doing the deeds. Any meaningful policies the greens have, and they do have some gets lost in stupid statements like this. Cameron has just had to fight to give them more press than they ever have and the greens shoot themselves in the foot. Way to go greens

Margaret Thatcher used to class Nelson Mandela as a terrorist? I suppose it's which perspective you look from? Didn't we also used to class Saddam & Osama as 'friends'? It was only very recently we also wanted to help the Islamic State crush Assad. Russia told us we were joining the wrong side, the Oatcake united in telling us what a wanker Putin was, "Send in the aircraft carriers" was the cry...... Strange how things turn out.

These comments come as no great surprise but will be music to the ears of many collaborators on here.
This is why they are unelectable.
Give them a spade and let them loose planting trees is the best plan.

Same with Libya-William Hague kept telling us how we should support the opposition. Now we don't want anything to do with the opposition!
