I thought the weather was quite good that night we lost on penalties. It was the first time I had seen Shawcross, I think, as it was a week or so after he signed on loan for us.

Was that about 10years ago? i drove up from London to be told it was off just as i got there, but i'm sure it was a 3pm game...maybe another club:/ TEST That was a night match with Brian Little in charge i think because we actually managed to get in the ground and look at the pitch.Your not on about the Burnley game are you that was called off on New years day? Yes...That's the one mate..Waterlogged pitch i think..drove back via Stafford to surprise the parents, only to find out they were out...or so they say. :/ TEST

If we can NOT concede 2 goals in the first 10 minutes to them this time that'd be great Stoke.

They ought to behave themselves, if their poxy forum is anything to go by. Do they seriously believe we'll field anything less than our best 11, to secure our chances of securing progression? ???

Good draw! Any idea how many their away end holds? It's on one side of the ground on wilmots lane I think. It's a decent size stand though. I remember the defeat in the league cup on penalties and i remember the volcanic bovril as well at half time . Nice little ground with its own pub too.

Cracking draw for us. They will no doubt make it difficult but its one we should comfortably make through.

Tough tie away, they'll be up for it like Wrexham were but it should be another comfortable one hopefully. Sparky certainly wont allow them to be off their game again.

Good draw! Any idea how many their away end holds? 3,650. Their ground capacity is 10,249 accordingly to their website.
So it all depends how many of their fans they expect to want to buy tickets, and whether the away stand (along side of the pitch) can be split
Think they only have to offer us 15% of total so could be as low as 1,500 but hopefully we'll get the whole stand 3,650 as Stokie Ben says

What's the best way to get there? Easy to get to? It's a fair trek from the train station as it's nowhere near the town centre unless they do a shuttle bus.

Winnable, doable.....really????? These lads on the Rochdale site have clearly been on the pop!
If we take the game remotely seriously and field even close to a full team, we should win at a canter.

Wasn't the Rochdale game one of the first posts of the erstwhile Davesviews offering a ticket for. Before he became "transfer guru" or did I dream it?

Hopefully a good draw. I wrote "hopefully" since we all can remember our previous trouble with teams from the lower divisions in this tournament.
I think we'll get through.

Tough draw, true banana skin. Not the the Rochdale we played all those years ago and will probably fear nothing having just dispatched Forest. We'll have to pull out a better performance than the Wrexham one. Entirely winnable however and we should go through.
