Bring back Huth ,were garbage at defending corners free kicks ,crosses and similarly poor in the opposing box . Either Huth back or we need another dominant centre half. Muniesta just not the answer, dont mention Mr concentration Wilson.

Don't think a single player can fix this problem. We need to sort this out as a team. The corner they scored from two things led to the goal, one Crouchy is dragged out of his position to leave a room for the attacking team to run into and secondly Cameron being too weak/nice in the battle with Terry.

Cameron was at fault for the opening goal, just shocking defending. Terry didn't even have to bloody jump. But agree that we need to get Huth back as we simply can't defend

Why hasn't this problem been addressed? It's pretty obvious this has been major problem for a long bloody time.

I thought muni did well tonight Muniesa was excellent tonight wtf is the OP smoking. Our problem is not attacking the ball in flight we use our hands and body but don't dive for the ball with our heads! Terry wanted that ball more than Cameron and Ryan just missed it coming in aswell. Ryan and Muniesa were damn good tonight. Whos brilliant idea was it to give Terry to Cameron is my question... Its like Bojan on Drogba!

I think/hope that there's three worse teams than us because there's only one way this fcuking shambles is taking us.

Another set piece, as i keep saying. Our last ball was awful again, but overall, weho expected us to win, i didnt, and got the score correct.Chelsea are a world class side and we are average, and inconsistant.Yes, we have our day, but we didnt test them whatsoever, like most teams havent.

What wearestokeusa80 said,
Can and Terry is a total miss match.

Hughes was furious, it's definitely something that should be worked on the training field until it's done properly.
Same goes for our attacking set pieces, I think it's fairly obvious that since Tone left this has been somewhat overlooked in training.

You are never going to stop an attacker from stealing a march on the defender unless you have a grip on his shirt. The only thing you can do as an individual is to challenge for the ball to put the attacker off balance....and or hope that the delivery is not perfect. You need help from your team mates as well.Blocking off runs (space), holding a position as directed, passing people on sensibly from one defender to another etc. It's a complicated dynamic played out in seconds or even shorter. As a team we don't seem to have got this right just yet. Our inability at attacking set pieces is another issue that surely is not an accident.

Why is Cameron and Terry as mismatch they are similar in size and cameron allegedly thinks he can play as a centre back , he should have been much stronger end of but the goal summed up his entire night from then on just not up to it

Were our corners worse than ever against Chelses?

I've said this before but when a corners taken, to many of our players defending are watching their players and have no idea when or where the ball is coming over. Instead of this, they should be ready to attack the ball and make it theirs. It may be old fashioned but it worked for years. This concentrating on the man instead of the ball just isn't working for us.

I wish we would cut out this wrestling shit and play the ball it's just not working. Oh and if Crouch had stayed where he was it was straight on his head to clear and you can see him holding his head after it went in in despair.

Disappointing that what was one of our biggest strengths has now become one of our biggest weaknesses. Have to admit to cringing every time they got a corner last night. Similarly at the other end, corners used to be real big opportunities and now they're real damp squibs, no matter who takes them. Needs urgent address.

We are conceding too many goals from set pieces, but how come we almost never score from these situations ourselves? We are the tallest team and have a lot of strong headers of the ball. I really can't understand why we are so shit at set pieces!?

I really can't understand why we are so shit at set pieces!? Not sure thats the case anymore of us even being a tall team. They had Terry ,Ivanovic,Cahill all superb headers of the ball and Costa ,Matic and possibly Mikel then Drogba all decent. We have Shawcross all the others are powder puff, needs changing.

Yes we have a couple who isn't that tall now, but we still have a lot of player who are around 1.90 meters. I will mention Shawcross, N'Zonzi, Cameron, Arnautovic and Crouch. In addition we have Walters, Pieters and Muniesa who all are quite decent in the air, so to me it's rather strange that we aren't better at set pieces.

Set pieces at both ends of the pitch will cost LMH his job if he isn't careful.
Pub teams playing at Longton Park on a Sunday morning deliver better set pieces than us. Even the Little Master delivered a series of awful corners last night.

By my reckoning, 5 of the 23 goals we've conceded have come from set-pieces; QPR, Sunderland, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea. You could make the case for the Swansea goal coming from a result of one, I guess.
It'd be interesting to compare that stat with other teams in the Premier League.
Our conversion rate from set-pieces is appalling though and has to improve.
