Bego 5 - a bit ropey tonight Bardsley 6 did ok but very little support from Ireland Shawcross 6 - did ok but no great shakes Wilson 5 - below par game for him tonight Pieters 5... see comments of Wilson.....should have attacked and headed the ball for the first goal into the stand, not stand there waiting for it to drop N'Zonzi 7 - thought he was gonna struggle after seeing him early doors but had an OK game and took his goal well Cameron 6 - got caught a few times but had a fair game I thought Ireland 6 - not a winger, but asked to do a job there which he had a go at but no great shakes. Not much cover for Bardsley either Bojan 7 - cut above what else was on the pitch in my honest opinion. Shame other players werent on his wavelength. Hope it doesnt happen but I can see the kid getting seriously pissed off with whats going on and want out Assaidi 5 - very frustraing player in terms of not either having the bottle/legs/bollocks to go past his player and checks back 99.9% of the time and plays the square ball. We lose momentum as a result Diouf 6 - seemed isolated to me for a lot of the game last night
Crouch 5 nothing special Arnie 6 - couple of crosses and a chance right at the death.

Begovic 5 Looked very dodgy and should have claimed that 2nd goal.
Bardsley 5 needless booking which put him on call for the rest of the game Shawcross 7 Solid Wilson 6 Neither solid nor ragged Pieters 5 Jump and attack it man!
N'Zonzi 8 Head and shoulders above the rest. Cameron 5 Very poor defensively.
Ireland 4 Harsh because he isn't a winger nor has he been starting lately, but no excuse for a lack of effort. Bojan 7 Just behind N'Zonzi as our most creative player Assaidi 5 Harsh again because he hasn't had many games to get in the groove
Diouf 6 Isolated at times but ran his legs off. He's crying out for service and support
Arnie 6 Not on long enough to give him any higher marks but promising. Crouch no marks. Not on long enough

I'll give crouch a big fat zero from you because the fact you failed to notice this shows just how shit his substitute appearance was.

Begovic - 5 - I may be in the minority but I honestly think we should give Butland a game and Bego a rest/kick up the arse. He has been far from convincing this season so far. One good save but that had an element of luck to it. Very nearly cost us a goal. Bardsley - 6 - had zero help from Ireland who seemed to want to be anywhere but right touchline. Shawcross - 7 - solid as usual from Ryan Wilson - 6 - a bit unsure at times but overall ok Pieters - 5 - gave away yet more needless free-kicks in dangerous positions, one which led to the winning goal - and I do not like the tactic of lying down in your own box to try & stop play. Ireland - 3 - wank. whether you blame him or Hughes is open to debate. but I hope I never see him play there again. N'Zonzi - 8 - MOM best midfielder on the pitch Cameron - 6 - does something good, does something stupid, repeat to fade... Assaidi - 5 - Looked lively at the start but lost his bottle as the game went on. Bojan - 7 - Give him the ball! Diouf - 5 - hard role to play, but god his first touch is wank.
Crouch - 5 - no real impact other than we went more direct Arnie - 7 - a couple of great balls in and nearly scored.

Bego 4 - Looked dodgy all night. A worrying time for him. Perhaps all this Real Madrid and World Cup lark has gone to his head. Bardsley 6 - Looked OK. Shawcross 7 - The only defender who I wouldn't drop given an alternative. Wilson 6 - Decent enough. Pieters 5 - I need to see the goals again, but we all seemed to see what was about to happen on the first especially with Fellaini coming in at the back post (Something he does all the time) yet Erik seemed to let him pretty much get a free header from what I saw in the stand. N'Zonzi 8 - Fantastic goal and has the ability to control play all by himself. Just wish he did it more. Cameron 6 - Not great from Geoff but not awful. Really don't understand how he fucked that Wilson thing up so badly. His rating would be much lower had they scored. Ireland 3 - Didn't have any impact at all. Bojan 7- Not his best but he is truly terrific on the ball at times. Assaidi 4 - Don't understand why he won't cross, won't shoot and won't run flat out at a player. Diouf 6 - Difficult role agreed, but very poor first touch. Crouch 6 - Won a couple of balls, not much impact. Arnie 7 - God he needs some luck

What about the other time a couple of minutes before??? Don't remember that sorry? He had already gone down holding his head Ings-style and play was stopped - it looked innocuous and this is why the ManUre fans were already giving Pieters shit before the ankle incident. There was nothing wrong with him the first time, and although I will give him the benefit of the doubt for the 2nd one, it is a very risky tactic in your own box when the opposition have the ball.

He got an elbow square in the chops from Fellaini.....it was clearly an intentional 'jab' from him to gain space and control the bouncing ball. Snidy bastard that he is...
