Got to be Lizzie Yarnold, or Jo Pavey
It does say personality, so that rules out Hamilton

Never understood this award.
Don't understand the point of it, who votes for it, who cares about it and how you actually qualify to win it - the candidates have as much personality as a fucking spoon.
Do away with it.

I know it takes the fun out of it but I always go straight to the bookies for the answer to this one and they are never wrong with SPOTY. Rory McIlroy 1/4 Lewis Hamilton 7/2 Jonny Wilkinson 40 Jo Pavey 50 Claudia Fragapane 66 You can't really give it to Lewis Hamilton when he doesn't pay any tax in this country can you? I think "40" alongside Jonny Wilkinson's name is his odds rather than his age but it may be both! I don't have a Scooby who Claudia Fragapane is but she is 5th favourite if the nation decides to get behind a comedy candidate

Has to be Jo Pavey, guts and determination and all the training to win gold at 40, and 10 months after having a baby, it beats wandering around a park in nice boy clothing

It's quite obvious that Ryan Moore is the winner, but seeing as the BBC don't show his sport anymore they haven't even included him.

Rory is Irish, Lewis lives in Monaco. Jo is English.
That & IMO, her achievement trumps any others this year

Pity that it is no longer a public vote. Surely we could have started a Nello campaign, maybe next year, that's be a pisser.

That & IMO, her achievement trumps any others this year rory is northern irish thus british which makes his decision to represent the republic in the olympics bizzare I gave up on spoty years ago esp after the only outstanding candidate a few years ago was phil taylor yet he came nowhere near to winning and it pisses me off when some privelidged bint wins it for merely sitting astride a beast!! why isnt mo farah in the mix? He has had another good season.

Only a week to go. Anyone here voting, if so who for. Personally I have never voted in any TV poll, simply don't trust them and see them as a money cow(ell).

It's a contrived award IMO. You can only vote on who they tell you to vote on so its rigged from the start.

Said to the Mrs that an interpreter would be needed as Kenny Dalglish walked on the stage for the presentation with Johnny Wilkinson. Fortunately the BBC didn't give him a script.

Absolute bollocks Rory not getting that award. Number one golfer in the world, 2 majors and a Ryder cup compared to a tax dodging bloke who's quick to blame the car when he's not winning but happy to take the plaudits himself when he is.

How can a stroll around a country park whacking a ball with a stick be called a sport?

Arrogant little twat, Hamilton is, and he really pisses me off living in Monaco, employed by a British-based company, avoiding his tax. I voted for Pavey but I could have lived with Rory winning. He has done brilliant things this year after all.
