Obviously not ever going to happen but with all the current criticism I've seen from Liverpool armchair supporters towards Steven Gerrard, plus the transfer gossip suggesting he will look for a new club if he isn't offered a new contract, would people love to see him at Stoke next season as I would (again, I admit that it would NEVER happen!) Alternatively If he did leave Liverpool, who would have him as I imagine he is on top 4 wages, but no longer top 4 quality?

It's kinda tragic that the dipper fans have completely forgotten what a great servant he has been for their tin pit club in the last 15 years. Mind you I wouldn't want him here though. I'd rather have whelan everytime.

My personal opinion is that if he did leave its got MLS written all over it.

Yes I think its not very nice what some of the so called Liverpool supporters have been saying, that slip last year is going to haunt him forever, a lot of fans I talk too still blame him for loosing the title race, as opposed to Rogers being a massive wanger at Crystal Palace!

TV people still talk about that slip as if it cost them the championship. From memory, and by all means correct me if wrong, the slip happened in the last minutes of the game and Liverpool were already losing 1-0. Hence, you could argue that his slip had no bearing on the game at all.

Ok. As we discussed earlier, my footballing memory is shite. However, I seem to recall you saying exactly the same thing about your memory so who to trust? Where's Jayke when you need him?

Just googled it. Gerard's slip was in 45th minute and Ba scored. Willian scored a breakaway in the 90th. So my post above was mostly bollox....not unusual that.

That Gerrard will be remembered as much for that slip as for just what a legendary, once in a lifetime player he was (up until about 5 years ago at least) is actually a massive shame.

A legend for his club and rightly loved by the fans. I doubt many true Liverpool supporters are behind the suggested comments.
Routinely found out on the international stage, like pretty much the entire golden shower generation.
Would he come to Stoke? If you put a gun to the head of his loveable labrador puppy, Mr Snuffles, he might ponder for a moment. Before replying: "Behave, soft lad".
This story has "player manager of Tranmere Rovers" or possibly "Anfield Boot Room" written all over it.

Surely no one would want Gerrard at Stoke, he's one of the games biggest diving cheats of all time. Especially after all the dummy spitting handbag swinging dogshit that was spouted this weekend about sending Moses back to Chelsea!

Why ask these completely stupid questions? We all know that it's never gonna happen. Better see how we can really strengthen the team not with any more freebies

I think he'll end up in the MLS who would be a good player at that level.
