Scored the goal but almost invisible for the rest of the game. Gouranga.

Scored the goal but almost invisible for the rest of the game. Gouranga. Yeah, he was the issue wasn't he. Despite Arnie, Diouf, Crouch, N'Zonzi, Muniesa and Bardsley's performance, you single out Walters Brilliant

One of our better players today I thought. He scored a goal and setup nzonzi with a wonderful dink pass backwards on the run. Nzonzi fluffed it. One of our better players SJW.. In form. I wouldn't drop him.

Ignoring the obvious wind-up it should be noted he was head and shoulders above any other Stoke player today. The bloke is having a purple patch.

He was almost anonymous on the wing and apart from the goal it was easy to forget he was playing. Gouranga.

Yep give you that one Pugs - Bojan did his share.

I thought his passing let him down today.
He also doesn't offer us much width on the right, although I'm fairly sure that's down to management rather than Jon himself.

If he hadn't scored his name wouldn't have got mentioned, in fact apart from the goal did Radio Crewe speak about him, (I was at the game so if anyone was watching or listening could enlighten me I'd be appreciative). Gouranga.

At the moment he needs to be given the main strikers role, never thought I would say that, but he has earned the chance to see if he can do the job.

Gouranga. Did well in the air, won a few corners, teed up Nzonzi for a great chance, set Bardsley away on the overlap a fair bit.

He's been in top form recently and doesn't deserve to be singled out today. He was quiet but like most of our forwards, was facing an uphill task against a back 10 defending a 2 nil lead.
Like i said after Southampton in the cup. We can't keep shipping soft goals and expect our forwards to dig us out of the shit every time.
A clean sheet or two is long overdue.

Did anyone else notice him doing his thing where he takes the opposition keeper's drink, has a swig from it then empties the remaining contents on the floor, leaving the keeper with nowt in his bottle. Someone mentioned he did it at the West Ham game (I think). He did it again yesterday, fairly early on. Real wind-up merchant, though their keeper obviously ended up having the last laugh yesterday.

I'm a bit of a sucker for a diving header! Probably because I'm a shirt-arse and could never manage one if the 'towering' variety! Houtchen for Cov in the FA Cup; that RVP one in the World Cup this summer, and Suoer John's was up there!! Or 'down there'; but you know what I mean!!

Yes, just hope an opposing GK doesn't have 2 bottles, leaves one (unpleasant one) for him at a corner and he is promptly sick! Just a thought Super diving header

I thought he was really poor, as he usually always is when played wide against teams such as Burnley.
He causes no problems and creates nothing.
That said, when Diouf went off I'd have moved Walters to a central position and bought Assaidi on.
Edit - his header was an excellent one and much better than I gave it credit for last night.

Ive slagged walters off on numerous occassions over the years for spurning chances, but at the moment he is performing and taking his chances and definitely worth his place in the starting line up.If arnie had walters committment he would be at a bigger club.

I was going to post a response but I've deleted it. I really can't be arsed to comment on another thread about Arnie.
