Been hearing all these rave reviews about Chris Martin but on his 45 minute showing tonight he won't cut it in the prem against a physical centre half imo. Not so long ago he wasn't getting a look-in at Norwich. Championship's his level I think. Mate i get told day in day out how good he is and i even put him forward the other week as a replacement for Crouch in the future but on the evidence of tonight he was out of his depth and yet more evidence that the prem is miles apart now from the prem.

I think there's a decent gulf now between Championship and Premier. I'm not talking the teams who come up with momentum, and give a half-decent account of themselves, but compare teams who've established themselves in the Prem, and your Chris Martins will get swallowed up.

Just hope we don't let one in and complicate it. I know I'll no doubt jinx it now and they'll come back and win 3-2 or somat daft but Scotland really are shit. San Marino gave us a harder game. At least they could defend.

Surely Charlie Adam would be a better bet in the Scotland midfield than whats on show tonight?

Like you I get sick of hearing about him. Be nice to be able to point to this game and show how far out of his depth he was.

Surely Charlie Adam would be a better bet in the Scotland midfield than whats on show tonight? Mulgrew and Brown wouldn't get a look-in in the Prem. Adam is miles better than both of them. He's well out of the Scottish set-up based on tonight. I'd expect more from Azerbaijan than I've seen from Scotland tonight.

Why the fuck hasn't Berinho (sp) been introduced by now? surely the idea of a friendly is to experiment.

Fletcher has only played about 12 minutes of football in 300 years.
Mulgrew just needs to quit. He is by far the worst player I've ever seen.
Anya looks decent, as does Robertson. On this showing Adam certainly should be in the squad.

Been really (and pleasantly) surprised by England this evening. They've been excellent - full of movement and pace. Scotland have been poor - but mainly because England have absolutely bossed them.
Only slight disappointment is we haven't scored more goals.
