On Sky, 12 minutes in, Cameron Jerome just tucked away a nice goal. He's having a ball down there

Criminally underused in his time here. Seven goals in fifty games His record at Palace was similar. Great sub Championship striker Premiership squad player.

Criminally underused in his time here. Seven goals in fifty games His record at Palace was similar. Great sub Championship striker Premiership squad player. And our only really fast player in a time where we were sinking without a trace playing slow, turgid football. Him being reintroduced into the side along with Adam is what kept us up and for both it was way too late.

He was still criminally underused when we had him and did a very good job for when used and was actually a massive part of the reason we stayed up in TP's last season.

Considering the options we have at the moment I'd rather him here than not 15 starts and 35 two minute cameos chasing a lost cause. Actually 7 goals is not that bad on that basis. We haven't had a goal every other start man since Mark Stein in his epoch I suspect

He played his part .but 'criminally underused'? Nah. He was a vital part of it in the end and was criminally underused, especially when you had the likes of Walters, Crouch, Shotton and Ethers plodding around on the same pitch!

Criminally underused in his time here. Seven goals in fifty games His record at Palace was similar. Great sub Championship striker Premiership squad player. 7 in 50 tells half a story. Half of those were 10 minute sub appearances. The last full season he had with us he had the best goals to minutes ratio of anybody in the squad. Fact.

I've always liked him and thought it was a bad idea to get rid at a time when we were crying out for pace.
He's not the best footballer, but his pace can cause problems and be a real game changer late on, something that we really lack.

Who is the last player to leave Stoke and go on to better things?

He's not the best footballer, but his pace can cause problems and be a real game changer late on, something that we really lack. Which was why he was a good sub. 15 starts for Stoke and not one good performance (when starting). He then had a whole season at Palace and wasn't good enough there either. Who else should we have kept? Kenwynne? Olifinjana? Beattie? I understand the pining for Fuller but Jerome? Bloody he'll.

He scored 3 vital goals that season, match winners against Newcastle and Reading and the absolute scorcher that rescued a point against Southampton. But in the main he was shit, although he did have a decent game in the vital win at QPR.

Never mind half a gob smacking 35 of those 50 appearances were 2 minute cameos chasing an already lost cause. He only ever made 15 starts for the Club.

He played his part .but 'criminally underused'? Nah. In 2011/12 we finished 92nd out of 92 in the scoring charts with Crouch and Walters as the undroppable front two. The following year we were 91st. Jerome won us a good 7-10 points off the bench and his return to the side at the end of the season was pivotal in our turnaround in form. So yeah, I think it's fair to say he was underused.

Criminally underused in his time here. Pressed wrong button earlier. It is a shame that neither TP or Leslie have valued his ability at Premiership level. What do they know? TP realised in the end that he needed the pace and used him, fortunately for us it still resulted in his sacking. Hughes made a massive error in letting him go and again at the start of last season when we had no pace, we were crying out for him.
