Begovic 7
Bardsley 6 Shawcross 6 Wilson 5 Pieters 5
N'Zonzi 6 Cameron 6
Walters 6 Bojan 6 Arnautovic 6
Diouf 7*
Crouch 4 Adam 6
I'd give Diouf man of the match for his work rate with very little support at times, still think once he gets a run of games we've got a player on our hands there.....

Crouch a 6?? BETTER than Pieters? Played for fourteen minutes, committed a crazy challenge to get himself sent off and in the process gave away the free kick that led to their winner, at a time when we were absolutely dominant and looking for a winner?
Just how??

He is given a level of slack on here that is unbelievable when compared to slaggings that walters gets. I'll challenge you come up with a single example of anything positive he did in attack. His best two contributions all night were tackling back, and after he had done so near the end of the first half he had the nerve to throw his arms about like he was the only one trying - when he had spent the previous 40 minutes totally uninvolved. Simply not worth his place at the moment. Yet given more opportunities than the likes of Assaidi, Ireland, Muniesa and Bojan. Who all could equally say they need game time.

Nzonzi was much better going forward. Not just about the great goal he scored, he also played a few cross-field balls to the wingers to put us on the attack. If he starts to realize he has to boss the game for us he will be much better.
Arnie was truly awful. He normally comes in off his wing to get involved but last night he seemed stuck to the touchline. Absolutely NO movement from him meaning he was easily tackled or dispossessed. He deserves a 2 out of 10 and a stern talking to

Bego 8 prevented worse Bardsley 7 began bad, improved a lot in the second half Shawcross 6 part of an error-prone defence Wilson 4 terrible mistakes Pieters 4 for me our worst player on the pitch; when he got the ball on the left he always played back, never forward Nzonzi 7 one of our better players Cameron 5 many postitional errors, you can see that midfield is unknown territory for Geoff Walters 6 began also bad and was invisible on the right side; improved in the second half Bojan 7 had several good scenes but made some poor decision in the final; nonetheless i liked watching him, was very active and vitalising Arni 5 i am a big fan of Arni, but this is not the Arnautovic we have seen in spring; he is very strong with ball and body but he has to take more risk an try to overrun a defender; complete contrary to the good national game he had Diouf 8 he is a weapon, very fast and committed, in spite of the goals of Crouch Diouf would be my regular central forward, my MOTM
Adam 8 gave a fresh impetus and showed some dangerous corners Crouch 3 was stupid (2 times yellow, deserved the red card)
The game has been lost by a bad defensive work and by our late awakening.

My take on the Arnie bashing is this.. Most of the game he couldn't do anything with the ball because as soon as was given the ball one of the best right backs in the league so far this season was on to him, and a midfielder and winger were on to him too, can we just remember that Saints are a top team this season, very strong team throughout and I thought all of our team struggled at times...

He's a decent player once every couple of months, or he'll have a spell in a game where he'll look promising. But he plays some of the most mindless balls I've seen in years. And he'll do it again and again. Very sporadic player. He's not the player that some think he is / want him to be. Unfortunately he's not a player we can afford to carry, that's why he's not consistent getting game time.

Stop using facts mate, it confuses them.
Marko needs to get in the game more, he does let himself drift out of the action for long periods.

Arnie the scapegoat theres something new. Had no support from Pieters at all and often had to cover him. When he recieves the ball theres 2/3 players on him. What do some of you expect?
