I'm grinning from ear to ear after 7 successive rejections it's 8th time lucky.
Anyone fancy some early time predictions
I'll be delighted with anything sub 3:30

Well done mate, i did it in 89,91,93,94,99,2000,01,02,03... a lot older now but have been rejected since, but i want to get to 10, that will get me 4 decades too. Is it your first time mate? Make sure you get your name printed on your shirt, the crowd cheering your name will get you through alone, it is a fantastic experience, the first year , i did it in 6 hours with no training and i could not walk for 3 days... brilliant times. i could do a charity pledge but i don't want to let anyone down now...:/ Either way Well Done mate for getting in, it will be awesome and well worth the pain & you will make many friends:) TEST

I'd be happy with anything sub 3 and a 1/2 days, so fair play if your aiming for 3 and a 1/2 hours. Best of luck mate.

i was lucky enough to get in for the adt 90 marathon. fookin fantastic. do as much training as you can but dont go overboard you dont want an injury. best peice of advise i could give you is forget about any time you are aiming for at the start just enjoy the atmosphere you wont be able to "run" until after you have cleared the first mile anyway. then you can settle into your pace.worked for me i managed my target time of under 3 hours[how i wish i could run like that today!!]upon completion got my goody bag had a rest for 5 mins then hit the pub, happy day indeed.

Rejected again for me, I did it the morning of our 2011 semi final appearance, even that was a via a club place, I'm not bothering again, will probably look at Edinburgh or Manchester, Madrid or Rome or something like that. Good luck with the training Basingstoke, although London is very flat, Hills are our friends

Well done mate.
I did it in 2007 I think and it was rocket hot. Did it in 3 hours 54 mins. Was happy enough but a bout of cramp at 19 / 20 miles put paid to getting anywhere near 3 40!
Was a great day got my arm twisted into doing on a corporate jobby. Before I did it I had never really ran properly so put a fair bit of effort into the training. Built up to being able to do 22 miles about 3 weeks before then maintained that level of fitness until the day itself. Did a few half marathons during the build up.
Don't really do running any more prefer to get my fitness footballing but I will never forget doing the London.

I managed to get a club place this year, so best get moving. 4 villages half marathon this morning, although we've had a dollop of snow overnight where I am, waiting to see if it's still on.

Well done Northwich - if you are running 1/2 marathons now then you should be fine for 26th April.
Sadly, I am looking increasingly like a deferral, been injured since before Christmas and even if I was sorted today it's dubious whether I'd be able to get the mileage in to have a decent shot at it (I wouldn't be satisfied with just getting round)

The half was supposed to start at 11am, they delayed it for 45 minutes but then cancelled it at 11.30, a fair few ran it anyway, I did but there wasn't any water stations, and by the time I got past 9 miles they had taken the signs down, I had to stop 3 times and ask for directions, it was fairly hilly, did it in 1.47, and was happy to see they had stayed behind and the finish and were dishing out the goody bags, no medal though. Annoyingly their twitter feed and facebook page had posted at 9 that the police were happy with the course, it had been gritted overnight, but out in the country lanes it was slushy and slippy in a few places.

16 miles this morning, 2.17, ticking along nicely, touch wood.
Day off tomorrow, a good rub down in the morning and then off to the match later on.

Good luck mate, but don't underestimate "hitting the wall" it will come around that time, but just keep positive & listen to the crowds, you will meet some good people too along the way to get you through. Get your name on your shirt aswell, people shouting your name eggs you on, i did it in a Stoke Shirt once and got lots of friendly stick, but all good banter. Oh, and don't forget the Vasiline... TEST I did it before our semi final v Bolton, two large specially designed stoke badges on my shirt, some good banter through Millwall and the last 3 miles. Will be my 5th, haven't hit the wall so far, nipple plasters and vaseline all the way now

20 miles this morning in 2.57, could have been a bit faster but did 9 miles before the club runs and was joined for 10 miles by somebody a bit slower paced.
