Wow, so if we did this, we could fill the corners without filling the corners!

I have to ask - Why? Why build such a crazy design?

I have to ask - Why? Why build such a crazy design? Simple. It allows for more seating whilst still allowing cold swirling wind into the ground.

Braga in Portugal have their stadium carved into a quarry. If that was the Brit - that is the end I would put the Arsenal and Man Utd fans.

That first one in South Africa is completely barking - most of the seats aren't even facing the pitch.
God help 'em when the steel reinforcements corrode and the concrete fatigues...

I went to Braga's stadium to watch Bulgaria v Denmark in Euro 2004. I have to say, i thought it was a brilliant stadium. Odd, but brilliant.
Edit, the pic is from that game.

Glad I don't have to watch my footy in that one. Looks very over the top for what it is.

Braga in Portugal have their stadium carved into a quarry. If that was the Brit ..scholes and Coates would be in meltdown ....by scaling the wall by the scoreboard you'd could watch the game for free,... Mind you it would be a bit of a trek at half time to get the chips and beer ....
