Feels like the forgotten man already. A few weeks ago he was the player everyone was talking about. Where do you see him fitting in and is there any place for him in the starting xi against Leicester? If we don't play him at home to the likes of Leicester then when do we play him ? History would suggest he's our most talented player but it certainly hasn't been the dream start for him. Can't be good for his confidence the longer he's kept on the bench.

It's only been four games mate. Bojan will make his mark, no doubts at all.

Don't worry, I'm sure he won't be as shit as Tunny so you won't have to be in denial for years.
I suspect he's mainly going to be used in home games, where the powerful players will be less useful against packed defenses.

If fit then I feel sure he'll play against Leicester just behind the front two. Leicester do have some quick players and he will come in handy to compensate this .

That translates into we now have a manager who knows how to use creative players who don't necessarily have the attributes of Mo Farrah,

I don't think I would just because we could end up leaving ourselves open to what we did on Saturday, but if we start struggling to break teams down on a regular basis who knows what might change.

See him starting in the hole for home games. Don't think we'll see too much of him away from home just yet.
Needs time to settle in. Once things click we'll fly.

Assuming Crouchy's going to get a fair number of starts, it's going to be very interesting to see how Diouf, Bojan, Ireland and Adam are used. You'd think only one of them could regularly feature in any team involcving Crouchy.
Wonder if Hughes really knows at this point.

It's a great question and one I have been wrestling with myself today.
If he was injured how come he was on the bench on Saturday?

I think the break is a good thing for us, only a few players affected by it and it gives Hughes plenty of time to work with the new signings. Hopefully Ireland is back after the 2 week break as well.

Captained and played over 80 games for a national side that achieved far more than England did during the same period. Granted England are shit but let's not forget if he did the same for England I bet you would have a different stance

And then when Ireland is back that makes things even more interesting. Our squad really is huge at the moment. How can Hughes possibly keep all our forward options happy...

Suppose so. Wonder if we may start to see a home template and an away template. I just assumed that Diouf would lead the line and Crouch would be the one mssing out more often than not, but he doesn't really seem that type, although with his confidence up, maybe a player capable of doing that will emerge?

By doing what the previous regime seemingly didn't.. Tell them if they perform well in training and when they have the chance force their hand into playing them, much like Crouch and Walters did.. Playing them on merit not on favourite

I think the following forward thinking players currently in our squad are all better (in no particular order): Bojan Diouf Crouch Arnie Ireland Adam Moses Odemwingie Assaidi Walters I'll give to Brek Shea though.

I'm so unfamiliar with this that it's pissing me off, we seem to have more "decent" attackers at Stoke at the moment than in the last few years combined.
Oh and Tuncay wasn't shit.

I never really expected to see much more than cameos and perhaps Cup appearances from the tiny Catalan until xmas. Hope we use Ireland as a kind of on pitch 'crash test dummy' to figure out how to best utilise Bojan. Wouldn't want to see them both on the pitch at the same time again in a hurry.
