My Mate is a Man City fan and had a spare ticket for the game so I went with him.
I've never come across such a deluded bunch of clowns. They think they have a divine right to walk over every team and couldn't understand why we sat deep and made it hard for them. Apparently we should have rolled over and let them win after all they are champions !! They were screaming for imaginary free kicks and simply couldn't understand why we were given any at all. Every single Stoke player should have been booked including all the subs. It was an utterly bizarre experience !!
When we scored I put my head into my hands to disguise the fact I was laughing my head off.

All glory hunting fans are the same; spoke with a Chelsea fan in a pub before the drubbing game; he could remember when they were just another club, but says now he and all their fans expect to win every game. It's a glory hunting disease, like Ebola , no cure, just feel sorry for them, keep well clear of them & isolatation is best.

I take the point but really, when you've spent as much money as they have, with that squad, you do have a bit of a right to expect to tonk teams like Stoke at home. This is what makes the win all the sweeter. Well done for the dummy though...

Expectations change. I imagine prolonged success and massive sustained investment over a few years would have the same effect on most fans.
We finished 9th last season so where are we expecting to finish now?... In the main, 12th upwards.
5 years ago we were crossing our fingers to avoid relegation. Now we don't consider it much of a possibility.
Saying that, expectation is 1 thing. Being deluded and doing a Wenger is another.

Lets be honest a team whose won 49 out of 57 home games would expect to beat a Stoke team who started the first 2 games very poorly, lost 6 out of 6 without scoring and having a poor away record. I'm still astonished we did it, GET INNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never met a Chelsea fan yet, who hasn't been an absolute arsehole! Never! Ah yes, but for as long as Piers Morgan supports Arsenal, the Gooners will always have the highest cuntishness per fan ratio in the world. He's extraordinarily cunty

Ahh but when you add the cuntishness of Morgan, and divide it by the number of fans, then that ratio far exceeds any similar ratio of other clubs

Considering they won 17 home league games last season and only Chelsea managed to beat them at home 1-0, they would've expected to defeat us comfortably. Bookies were offering 16/1 on us winning.

Well no lets be realistic....Manchester City have an amazing set of fans, their older ones the ones that went and followed the club being in shadow of the other lot...Its only these new fans that have jumped on the buyover band wagon that are deluded.

If we'd had all that money thrown at us we'd have our fair share of arrogant wankers following us.
It goes with the territory - the scent of glory attracts glory hunters.
