Got to be worth a 2yr contract for a Championship side. Gouranga.

Yes I was wondering if had signed elsewhere.
Surely some clubs will be looking for a player of his experience
Good luck to him

A winger who relies on pace without pace isn't exactly sought after?

Bizarrely Adrian Durham on Talksport gave the view earlier that TP left Palarse because he wanted to bring 3 x £50K a week players in : Crouch, Walters and Etherington !

Can well believe he would want Crouch & SJW but not Matty & certainly not at that amount per week.

Can well believe he would want Crouch & SJW but not Matty & certainly not at that amount per week.He qualified his comments by stating that one of the three (Matty) was out of contract and hence a free signing and renumeration would be negotiable. To give Parrish his due, he probably thought TP had lost his marbles !

Pulis' interest in our players seems to have leaked out this weekend but I have it on fairly good authority that it was Crouch, Walters and Wilson that he wanted and is what led to his resignation as his chairman wouldn't sanction the moves.
The only interest in any of our players has come in "unofficial" contact from Pulis without the backing of his club.
He nearly left in January when his chairman refused to sanction a move for Etherington.

People forget that Tone has form for falling out with every chairman he's worked with, with the exception of PC and the bloke at Plymouth (I think).

Sounds like there might well be some truth in it. Pulis isn't unusual for going back for players who've played for him before. Most managers do it, don't they?

I really don't think Bright would be spouting that kind of talk on national radio if there wasn't some sort of truth in it as he is still close to the club and chairman. You're right in the fact that most managers do raid old clubs for players, but on the flip side I can see why Parish wouldn't sanction deals for the players mentioned, due to age, quality and resale value. All reasons as to why he was sacked here.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the figures quoted are bang on but as far as I can remember Bright didn't mention any figures when I heard him. It wouldn't surprise me though if Pulis did want the players mentioned and also I can see why Parish wouldn't have wanted to sanction deals for them as well. If there is some truth in it and these are the reasons for Pulis jacking then he is a mard arse prick for leaving his employers in the shit like he has. I should imagine that there would be more to it than we will probably ever know but he has got previous for this kind of mard arsery.

Would make a decent sub/ veteran presence in any squad Championship or below. Im sure some League 2 side would find it a big time signing.

It wouldn't surprise me if he wanted them either, he's the manager he should be given a budget and left to get on with it (if thats the deal they had), if they are within it then the chairman should keep his mouth shut, I don't see how Pulis is in the wrong here, he wanted some players (if true), was told no, and said fair enough I can't/won't work under these conditions see ya later.

It is all a load of guess work really but if the chairman has a vision for his club and it involves signing players with resale value and not signing quick fix players that don't suit his criteria for the football clubs future then the manager just accepts this and gets on with it,surely? The first sign of something not going his way he has fucked off and left them in the shit two days before the season kicked off. Plenty of managers have to work within constraints in their clubs and it seems to me that Pulis has got all high and mighty which I suppose some might say he is entitled to after last seasons work there, but I can see why Parish has stood his ground over this issue, after all hes only doing what Peter Coates finally woke up to in the end.

Surely if they both had different visions for the club then Pulis walking away was right for both parties, personally I don't think it should affect any decision that it was so close to kick off, thats not the managers problem, or the chairman for that matter.

I wouldn't know what his vision was for Palace tbh, I haven't read anything about it, but as I've said before if he doesn't change he won't get many offers, but I doubt he cares, half decent career, money in the bank and probably a few goes at being a pundit, nothing for him to worry about really.
