This seems to happen all the time and it never ends in clubs ceasing to exist. How many times have Portsmouth been like "1 step away from not existing"? Considering it happens to a handful of clubs every season, i think it's all sensationalised.
How many football clubs that have gone through all this kind of trouble and now don't exist anymore? Wimbledon was one. Any more?

Why would any football supporter want another club to go out of business?

I don't want to see Vale disappear until we've put 6 past them in The FA Cup at The Brit... :-)

Accrington Stanley collapsed and were reformed in the 60s Darlington are gone Scarborough FC are gone - were playing in the football league up until the late 90s. Kettering nearly went Boston United nearly went Hereford are on their way out

Why would any football supporter want another club to go out of business? I personally don't, but it's Vale, and the fact is if the shoe was on the other foot and it was us in the shit they'd all be in hysterics and actively praying for us to go out of business, so fuck them, good riddance.

Thought I'd check their forum to read up on it but the site seems to be struggling but there is a news article about it on their home page. The problem Vale have now is that this isn't the first time, it isn't the second time. A lot of clubs have had reprieves in these situations but you can't keep having this kind of stuff happening and get away from it.

It would be a shame if PV went out of business, we would have no one to laud it over locally!

Vale Chairman Norman Smurthwaite meets with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs about the clubs outstanding Tax Bill. The Officer tells him - "I am going to let you off with the tax bill you owe as I am a great admirer of The Vale and I think they are a fantastic club." Smurthwaite in a startled manner replies - "Really?" To which the Officer says - "No, I am winding you up, you fat Vale bastard."

I know what'll save them - a Sunday market/car boot sale on the club's car park. Nice little stalls that sell penny sweets, pet food and knock off toiletries(that stall never does well). Sounds lovely.

Maybe that's been wound up too, or maybe all 7 season ticket holders are trying to log on at the same time?

It happens more often than people think, especially with Vale.
Either way not bothered what happens really, it's not as if they'll manage to wrangle their way out of it.

Maybe they should sell vale park and share with Norton United. At least one team in their area is successful cos they got promoted last season.

So are they facing administration and a 17 point deduction?

Given the recent stance from the FA about bringing on younger players in lower league sides; it may not be a bad idea for Stoke to use the Vale in that capacity. Understand it would not go down well in many quarters but it would reduce animosity and be a good local outlet to give experience to some of our players. People would get used to it in time and it would save the club.
