Where is it? In the market or the centre 'proper'? Potteries Centre, lower mall. Next to New Look. Use entrance next to The Body Shop.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Mama & Bineta (Not 'Benita' as the Sentinel, Stoke & Sky all reported!) when I heard about this and was even invited to the private opening which was really surreal- It took me a few minutes before I realised I was sat next to N'Zonzi! If you haven't been yet I really do urge you to do so, the food is incredible. The macaroons & proper French eclair's are just unreal. It's really Bineta's shop but with Mama behind it there simply has to be a glut of Stoke fans & ex-teammates visiting just to support a man who did a lot for us with little credit! He's going to be extra busy this season, because he'll be helping at the shop in the week after training (meaning he'll be signing for somebody fairly local). I even asked him if Vale was an option and he said he was a bit worried he might tarnish his Stoke image, but lets face it, Dicko has done alright moving there. I'll leave you with this. Mark Hughes announces new signing?

Normally, I'd hate the thought of a Stoke hero signing for Vale but I think in this instance I'll let it slide

Damn shame, the coffee, cakes and staff have always been excellent. They made you feel welcome, unlike other coffee shops where you're just a customer.

That's a real shame. I wonder if it's closing due to finances or because she's simply moving on to something else.
It's great to see a WAG challenge herself on a professional level rather than spend her days gossiping with other WAGs in luxury stores and salons. Running a small business is damn hard, and food establishments are among the more challenging small businesses.
Good luck to her with her teaching career. By the way, as a bilingual person who learned the other language through my parents speaking it full time at home, much like the Sidibe kids, I completely agree with Bineta's views on bilingualism and language acquisition in children. Like Bineta said, children are sponges for languages. If you want them to be bilingual, start young.

I spoke to Mama a couple of months ago and mentioned the Cafe to him. He said that the rent was going up and the footfall into the Potteries Shopping Centre was going down, so i'm not surprised that its closing. Its a pity as this place was a bit different and just makes Costa & Co even stronger

Shame about this, the cakes were out of this world.
