linkZubizarreta urges Bojan to decide before Saturday «It would be best for him and for Barcelona», said the FC Barcelona sports director
Bojan continues to dither with his future between the offer of the English Stoke City and the possibility of becoming the franchise player of Víctor Fernández.
The striker knows first-hand the project of La Coruña club after the phone conversation held days ago with blue and white coach, but Bojan meanwhile has started the pre-season with Barcelona while Luis Enrique does not have it.
Andoni Zubizarreta, sports director of the Catalan institution, has referred to Bojan in a joint press conference with Luis Enrique, and has urged the player to decide if possible before Saturday, when the Club travels to Huelva to play their first friendly against Recreativo.
«Bojan's situation was spoken with his agent, decided the best for both parties to work their options on the market», Zubizarreta said about the presence of Bojan in medical examinations of the first team and two sessions of training under Luis Enrique, when is not planned that or come to the FC Barcelona sports city.
«On Sunday it was decided that he would come because at the end of the day he is a Barca player, and he has a contract with us. I'm not going to get into the list of call for Luis Enrique, but the decision should be to solve, Bojan knows what the situation is.
«If it's resolved as soon as possible it is the best thing for him and for the club ", said Zubizarreta when was asked if Bojan would travel on Saturday with the rest of the team.

The SCFC squad travel to Germany at the end of the week (Friday?) so hope he makes his mind up before the end of tomorrow - he's probably not going to be travelling Huelva with Barcelona, according to this article

The longer he waits, despite us apparently offering more than deportivo, makes you wonder how much he really wants to come to us. About 40 pages ago I was fully for this, thinking he'd be in the right home to get the mental aspect of his game up and running again. Unfortunately, if he doesn't really want to come here (and only comes for the dollar) then I can't imagine he'd put in the work needed to get his act sorted. The talent is there, he just needs the right home and we are it (muni, hughes probably speaks enough spanish, grounded team, out of the "super star" spotlight). Shame he can't see it. What other barca rejects are there for us to cream over?

Here's what the Sentinel say:- BOJAN has been given until late Friday to make his mind up about moving to Stoke City. Barcelona's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta says he wants a decision by then because the club is about to embark on its pre-season playing programme. Barca have made it clear they are prepared to let the 23 year-old striker leave after his failure to rediscover the form he once showed as a precocious teenager. And Stoke were quick to offer him a season-long loan at the Britannia when he flew over to meet boss Mark Hughes last Friday. I think we all are - It only out of frustration because we don't know what is happening, too many people make their own theories up in their heads and convince themselves that, that's what's actually happening. All we can do is sit back and wait it out.

So Barcelona have asked Bojan to make a decision by Friday, as he won't be travelling with them to Huevla. Also we now know Deportivo and Olympiakos has registered there interest besides ourselves and Malaga.
We also know that we have offered more than Depo, but still no decision has been made by Bojan.
Bojan clearly doesn't know what offer he wants to accept, which makese think he isn't that keen on playing for us. Hence why the delay because of waiting for more offers hopefully from bigger clubs.
Do we really want a player who may not give his all?

All we can do is sit back and wait it out. It's not even been a week yet, I don't blame the lad for taking a bit of time to decide where he'll be for the next year (possibly 3). If the sentinel article is correct and he has until late on Friday to decide that sounds reasonable for all involved, I expect we've done most of our transfers in for this window anyway - hopefully just a winger to come and we should be set for the season.

He's been at Barca since he was 8 and spent the last 3 years in 3 different cities so you can't blame him for taking the time to make the biggest decision of his life.

As my mate Chugga would say, "ah Marra bone an all that I ain't bovered by the yoof." If he comes good, if not no big deal. Like a few have said my fun meter is pegged on this one. Besides Brek Shea will be like a new signing anyways this season.

He's trying to work out where the City Centre is, once he realises it is Hanley we are fucked mind you it is pretty multi cultural plus it has a cultural quarter well street really, a trip to the Pig Pen should seal the deal.

This has to be the biggest decision of his life so far and he is probably torn between the safe option of where he knows and the risk of the unknown. Not an easy choice and probably nothing to do with wanting or not wanting to play for us. Playing for us and succeeding will put him back on the world stage, failure oblivion. Our risk is far less but time moves on and chances don't wait.

If he decides to sign for Stoke then great and see no reason why he wouldn't give his all.

I dont think Bojans coming here. His indecision says it all really and I dont blame him. Hes been out on loan to foreign leagues and not made any impression whatsoever. If I was him and had these offers on the table I would go for Deportivo in a league ive been successful in and close to home, in a bid to resurrect my career.

Fuck him off if he doesn't want to play for us, and sign someone up who does. We'd be better than most at reviving the careers of 'starlets' whose career has stalled. If he can't work that out, then mid-table Spanish mediocrity can have him.
I'd much rather have Bale or Robben anyway, although we'd have to wean them off the diving nonsense.

If someone was offering me a job in a foreign country and it meant uprooting my family, I think I would want to discuss it with the family and take advice from friends and contacts even if I personally wanted the job. If his wife wants to stay in Spain I think that is perfectly understandable.
