Argentina really struggling to find a breakthrough against Iran. With messi, aguero, higuain and di Maria up front, it's still goalless at half- time. I think that dejagah is really with looking at - he'd be a great addition to our squad

A lot of the "major" football nations have been what's known in the game as "wank" so far in this World Cup!

Clearly penalty for Iran !! If that was messi instead if dejagah the ref would have had no hesitation to point to the spot !!!!

Genuinely not sure that Brazil or the Argies have been any better than England so far.
Odd.

It it were not for the fact that history says a European team won't win in South America everyone would be all over Germany. They look the class act of the tournament so far in my opinion.

Genuinely not sure that Brazil or the Argies have been any better than England so far. Odd. Apart from in 1978 when they had a number of top quality players, Argentina have always been one player away from being very ordinary.

France have looked handy aswell imo Yeah they've looked decent and should have a good World Cup along with Holland. You'd never back against Germany but France and Holland are playing better than many expected them to.

And even Holland were rocking against a team of no-name Aussies.
It's certainly a hard one to get a handle on

Angel Di Maria looks like he should be tormenting the likes of Ted Bundy and Heinrich Himmler with a pitchfork.

Iran are doing brilliantly.
This game reminds me of our game v Man City in our first Premier League season.

Isn't it traditional that some top nations look pretty ordinary at this stage though? I remember Spain were quite dull in the early stages last time (actually they were dull until the final).

Dejagah is a good player and I would have been happy to see him here last season. Lads of energy and a decent end product. Iran have been brilliant when you understand that their main man up front couldn't get into the Charlton side that nearly got relegated from the Championship last season.
Put's our 'effort' to comparable shame.
