Imagine you're the boss, and every decision you make, your assistant looks at you like you're an idiot and he's going to kill you.

Lambert and Keane. It would certainly make the Villa management team a high testosterone operation. Pretty menacing for referees I would imagine.

Villa have been trying to get relegated for decades, but somehow never quite manage it. Seems like they've decided it's time for drastic action.

Wow, there maybe (even more) trouble ahead for Villa.
Keane could be a very good appointment but not as an assistant.

And Villa fans thought it could get no worse, I had them as relegation material before, now it's an almost certainty

This has to be a wind up surely. Kea he has been a manager for nearly 6 years at Sunderland and Ipswich. Why would he now take up an assistant job?

Doesn't strike me as a number 2 to be honest and I can't see Paul Lambert being able to manage him.

My approach to conflict is light blue touch paper, stand well away! Thing with Lambert is you have to imagine what would happen to the pitch of that usually calm but incomprehensible voice when that quiet inner rage bubbles up to the surface off camera, he is definitely not beyond a head butt

Looks like Keano has pulled out of ITV's World Cup coverage as well, which is a bit of a shame. It's always good telly when Keano is frothing at the mouth!
He could be the one to give those Villa kiddies the kick up the backside they've been needing for a couple of years.

I dont understand why these teams and whoever court Roy Keane. He's a refreshing ITV pundit, legend of the game etc etc but manager or assistant? no way.
Yes he is passionate and knows the game well but by all accounts, his man management skills are horrendous.
Lambert and Keane would never work, I just don't get it.

To be honest, I think if you want Keano, he's got to be top dog. I just don't see him being an assistant.
