What do you expect with wankrags like The Mirror, Sun, Daily Mail etc. They are written to be decisive and therefore appeal to flag wavers and idiots who can't really put together a logical arguement everywhere ie tjose who believe immigrants are killing this country etc etc. They are shit, will always be shit. Why do you get so mad, if you read these shite, don't be mad, you made your choice.
(probably not the most logical point i've ever made but it is 5:45am Stateside)

What is Curtis Davies banging on about there? The injury sustained by Aaron Ramsey is the worst ever witnessed by mankind. Not your bloody achilles snapping, you big baby. Try breaking a bone in your leg which nobody else has ever, ever recovered from.

I believe I am right in saying that journalists do not write their own headings for their articles. The headings are the job of the editor. Thanks Gods, some good information that is

I see folks flailing around in the dark and sometimes you just need to step in for your own sanity as much as anything

Come on lads, only 4 years ago Aaron Ramsey was clinically dead. If Sol Campbell hadn't been there Glenn Whelan would have eaten his still warm corpse. Have some respect.

Thanks Gods, some good information that is It's not strictly true, sometimes the ones filed are kept, other times they are changed - I would guess that this was Cross' filed headline. ironically it is similar to one used by one of our other long term detractors, Mick Dennis, to EXONERATE our Ryan after he saw unbroadcast footage of the incident

CURTIS Davies has revealed the sound of his Achilles snapping at Arsenal was like that of a "gunshot" at the sametime Giroud fell to the floor. ;-)

Fore the record I have today sent this. Do I expect a response no!
I am somewhat mystified with the abuse your paper pours out on Ryan Shawcross. I understood that journalists were supposedly to project a balanced view on all matters. In my view you have failed miserably.
The incident took place several years ago now and you should be ashamed in carrying on in this manner. Life does go on.
Arsenal would not accept any apology from Stoke City Football Club, nor would Ramsey accept any apology from Ryan Shawcross. Ryan has shown great dignity over the years since the incident not rising to any vitriol comments from the press, Aaron Ramsey or Arsene Wenger. This is to his credit.
I think the media have a responsibility to be fair with individuals which has been sadly lacking for a good number of years. They have been taken to court and perhaps you could learn something.
I am equally appalled by the former editor of the Mirror for his childish and ill informed 'tweets' relating to Stoke City and perhaps as Piers is probably in the UK a little more now, you can celebrate your FA Cup win rather than maintain you campaign against Ryan Shawcross
Kind regards

Much to my surprise I have received a response from John Cross which is as follows:
Thanks for your e-mail. I've had a lot from Stoke fans this week. I endeavour to reply to all e-mails and, in doing so, I may as well be truthful. My own view was that the piece should have been about Aaron Ramsey, FA Cup glory and that's how I wrote it. But, on this occasion, my sports editor that day thought it did represent a milestone in Ramsey's career. That was his call rather than mine on this occasion and, I must tell you, down the years I bow down to his greater experience at putting together and consistently producing good newspapers. He has no agenda, nor do I and I can only congratulate you on a good season with Stoke. John Cross.
I have written back to him again advising that I am of the opinion that his sports Editor was wrong and that it is my hope that his paper makes no further references to the incident.

If we think this will eventually go away just wait until Ramsey writes his inevitable autobiography in a few years time, no doubt they'll be a whole chapter dedicated to the incident ????

Only a chapter? Theres going to be a whole series of books, films and possibly a musical just about his life threatening injury. That 'horrific assault' will be the meal ticket for at least the next 3 generations of his family.
