Makes me laugh how Hodgson sits drooling over Southampton but wouldn't give Shawcross a look in. He very rarely attends Stoke matches yet he has attended 14 games involving Southampton this season.

If one of the top 6 teams signed him then I feel sure it would improve his chances immeasurably.

Apparently, Woy is only allowed to travel a maximum 30 miles radius from where he lives.
For the record, does anyone know the precise whereabouts of the "Golden Pasture Care Home for Geriatrics"?

Not surprised, they've got some very good English players in their side, I'm glad he's taking a look at them tbh and thinking of moving away from the standard names.

I think if Hodgson wasn't going to watch a team who are promoting young English talent then he would quite rightly face criticism.
It's an absurd thing to be critical towards.

although most of us Stokies love our Ryan, very few others rate him. I was on a train heading towards Cardiff last week and while chatting to a few strangers (Bath rugby fans) the words "slow" "physical" and "dirty" were the only ones they could use to describe our captain. We did obviously try to put them right but we were fighting a losing battle.

Hodgson is doing what every England manager does which is be led by media.
As soon as he fucks it up they'll slaughter him.

Southampton v Everton ticks all the boxes for existing and potential England players, with their backbones of good English players. Stoke v Spurs doesn't: we have Ryan, end of, while Spurs has Dawson,Rose and Kane. Compared to Shaw, Lambert, Ward-Prowse, Lallana, Rodriguez, Baines, Jagielka, Barkley, Barry? It would be worth watching Stoke games for Hodgson if he was the Ireland manager.

Take ryan out of it. Its the fact that woy has been at 14 of their 18 home games.

no one said they were experts. They were voicing an opinion, one which seems to be general to many other than Stoke fans.

Strange, he seems pretty decided on Ryan after just 10 minutes against the best forward in world football.

Im not saying he isn't a cock for writing Ryan off..just that its no surprise that he wants to keep tabs on the form of potentially 5 or 6 of his World Cup Squad rather than an outside chance that one could have.

I live out of the Stoke area, I live in an area where people only ever see Ryan on the TV and I am constantly having to correct people on his abilities. I am sure if I lived surrounded by Stoke fans then I would only hear positive things like the majority on here.
