Good on them, good to have another midlands team up Yeah another nice short away trip. Plus they're fairly crap so a nice 6 points next year. Plus looks like Burnley and possibly Derby/Wigan coming up which is great for travel and the points next year. And relegation looks like getting rid of three horrible long away trips. Happy days.

Good on them, good to have another midlands team up Only soured by jugs ear Lineker being able to salivate over his team doing well.

With Burnley almost promoted that leaves either Wigan or Derby to give us a trio of much easier away games in terms of travel with Cardiff, Fulham and either Sunderland or Norwich to complete the SCFC carbon footprint reduction next season.
Oops sorry already mentioned above. Reminder to self.....always read the whole thread before posting.

I would prefer Fulham to stay up from them 4. In comparison London is cheap/easy to get to.

Leicester- nice trip away from home.
Burnley - another short away day.
Wigan look good for the playoffs and another nice trip.
If they replace Sunderland, Cardiff and Fulham/Norwich/Swansea then it makes away travel easier for us locally based Stokies.

Good on them, good to have another midlands team up I agree, but the downside is that it gives the overly biased Midlands Today another team to focus on and to further ignore the top team in the area.

Not bothered either way. I thought QPR would walk it despite Arry being up against it with such limited resources. The PL needs more northern clubs and less London. Itd be nice if Burnley and Derby followed with Fulham, Cardiff and Sunderland going down.

Fair achievement that, seeing as we sent them down the day we got promoted.

I felt for them the day we got our promotion. Look forward to welcoming their fans back - this time with a smile on their faces.
Congratulations and well done Leicester.

While I do congratulate them on their success I do fear for them a little.
Speaking to a Leicester fan a week or so before the cup game I was informed we were in for a tough tie. They were playing some great stuff and had a squad capable of doing ok in the prem and with maybe a couple of additions they would easily stay up.
Well, we all remember the game.Stoke on a relatively poor run of form, struggling to get any rhythm under a new system easily swept aside a full strength Leicester team high in confidence and we barely got out of second gear.
I wish them well but they do need plenty of fresh faces to give them some hope.

The sooner Foolham are relegated the better. A dour away trip, and not really a proper team. I mean a neutral section what the fuck is all that about?

Nah rather keep Fulham, it's a rather pleasant, genteel away day and relatively easy to get to (or for a weekend break). On the other hand Norwich, Sunderland and Cardiff are dog holes and horrible to get to. Fuck em off.

Well, I admire your honesty and insanity too, but now could be the time to stop living a life based on your ego. If that involves ditching my existence on the periphery of mainstream society , scrapping the Lada and privately educating my kids ....then the answer is no. My ego in the context of this thread was to do with the pride associated with that day and my love of Stoke City football club. It has nothing to do with people's perceptions of me . I left the rat race many years ago. I have no intentions to return.

I don't know the area but I've been to Carrow Road and I'd say that Norwich is about as close to Fulham as you can get in terms of lack of intimidation.

Yeah OK Norwich and Cardiff (the city centre at least) are nice cities. I was exagerating. I just hate going there for the footy, we generally lose, so I view them with my anti-goggles on (normally liberally alcohol fueled). So good riddance to the lot of them.

I'll be glad to see the back of Fulham, their location enables them to sign players above their standing, and we usually lose there.

Glad to see them back. Good team with a decent following and close enough that there's no 'travel' excuses for going the away day
