I'll give you Tazi for a starter. I find the banners a little disrespectful to Hughesy as well if I'm honest. H Don't forget to take your Hughes banner and redress the balance then H Taking a banner with our current managers name on is what we should be doing isn't it?

Hughes will join in with the clapping and respect for TP I'm sure and quite rightly so as he will recognise the great job TP did for us! Oh dear.

Mmm.....I can't see what all the fuss is about.
If lads wants to show their appreciation for what Pulis has done , then so be it.
If you don't....Fair enough.

Hughes seeing Stoke fans being respectful to a former manager will make him feel worse? Really? Who has actually said it would make him feel worse? H No one. Because it won't.

So do the current set of players and management team. I thought Pulis got enough support, both financially and from the stands, when he was in the dugout here? What's the need for more? Sorry, I just don't get modern football. Applauding returning players and managers, players refusing to celebrate when they score against an old club. It's all false. Of course I will support the team and mark Hughes but I will also thank pulis for what he did for the club Great. No problem. Sing your heart out for Mark and the lads on Saturday and send a letter of thanks to; Mr A. R. Pulis. Crystal Palace Football Club, Selhurst Park Stadium, Whitehorse Lane, London. SE25 6PU. Or, do you really think the best time to 'thank' TP is when Palace are playing Stoke ??

Depends how pissed I am as to whether I make it to the ground before the game kicks off and before he comes running out of the tunnel. I suspect there will be trouble in the away end on Saturday with Stokies fighting amongst themselves. It is an absolute given if we are losing and the dickheads amongst our ranks start giving it the old "we should never have got rid of him" bollocks. I can hardly wait. Being pissed and fighting, not a good combination. I wasn't referring to me fighting. I am a lover not a fighter although I was involved in one of the fracas at Scunthorpe away all those years ago.

Nothing wrong with being respectful whatsoever. That's just common decency IMO. Acting like One Direction groupies on the other hand... Will people faint and start throwing their boxer shorts when he appears from the tunnel Rob ? It certainly sounds like it Wez. Your first post on the thread had it pretty well covered. I'm all for giving the man a great ovation. He gave me the best Stoke supporting times of my life. The semi final was one of the best days of my life full stop. Still think taking a banner spelling out WE LOVE YOU TONY in spray painted macaroni is, to be honest, a really fucking creepy thing for a grown man to do when the bloke doesn't work for the club anymore.

As a 52 year old bloke who started supporting stoke at 13 years old in 1975 and went home and away throughout the 70's and 80's. moved away in the 90's but still spent thousands travelling back in the 90's and 00's I'm utterly depressed at this thread. I've seen some shite watching stoke and also had some amazing moments. All these years in the Premiership has turned many of our supporters into the very type of fan we used to despise. Fucking banners !!. Jesus wept. What have we become ?

I saw a man with Fuller on his shirt against Leicester. There's a bloke I know with Smith on his shirt, I heard Steino chants even when he wasn't playing.
One Direction bastards.

Fulham away last season, Fuller songs, Stein songs Hoekstra songs, Georgie Berry songs. At the time it appeared like people having a real good time, revelling in their heritage.
Now I realise it was just a bunch of cunts getting all teeny.

Agree 100% with that. I personally hope Mark Hughes wipes the floor with Pulis at 3pm Saturday. I hope we smash them off the park, now is Hughes time in charge of Stoke City And if they score from a throw inn........

You don't have to be Poirot, Clouseau could figure that one out and the answer rhymes with clucking punts. Even you must admit the jizzfest on here is well overboard momo Applauding is one thing but clucking banners is well cringeworthy Cringeworthy my arse.

Would it be so wrong to go in my Jerome 33 home top with a poster of his goal against Norwich? seen as we are getting all nostalgic. I think it may be the last time I'm going to see him.

Tony Pulis banners disrespectful to mark Hughes.
FFS if Hughes even finds it in the slightest disrespectful then he should ship the fuck outta there ASAP.
Heaven forbid he should find it disrespectful for stoke fans to show their appreciation for a bloke that goes down in history as one of our finest. Also those fans that want to show their respect have been around supporting their club a damn sight longer than a certain mark Hughes would ever be.

You either revel in your past or you don't. If Fuller was there that day against Fulham he would have got a dry bumming from most in attendance, even if he was in the Fulham line up. It's only different now because it's Tony fucking Pulis. You know it, I know it, everybody with a semblance of a brain can see what the real issue is here.
